CoasterBuzz Birthday?

Just a quickie: I have only been around for the past few months, I was wondering when CoasterBuzz (and by extension, GTTP) came to be, and wouldn't it be neat if you could commemorate the date with a little celebration (different graphics/colors for a few days or something)! I know that's a lot of work, I'm just curious about how old it is since this site is soooooo popular. :)

I've actually wondered the same thing hehe :) Maybe there should be some commemorative items up for sale! (Just kidding) But yeah, when was this site officially established? (as well as GTTP)

The site first surfaced as a mess of forums. That was boring, so I needed something else to keep me interested. Thus the portal concept was born, and the first news item was posted January 30, 2000. That's the birthday, as far as I'm concerned.

By the way, there is conceptually a similar site that inspired me called www.voodooextreme.com that deals in PC gaming. I don't really care much for how it's organized, but the idea stuck with me... get people to all the latest "goings on" around the Net.

GTTP was born April 27, 1998.

Wow -- heavy traffic and a great site for being so young! Great job, Jeff!
