I want to know what coaster you think has the best view, it doesnt have to be the tallest (Millennium Force-SD2K)or maybe you might think it has the best view because of the location, my opinion may be ODD but I think that Mean Streak@Cedar Point has the best view because of the location, it expecially has the best view right when the sunsets.

WELCOME BACK RAPTOR RIDERS,HOW WAS YOUR FLIGHT?
I like the view from the Magnum at CP. As you go up you can see endless water. I think it looks pretty cool. I think it is also neat since you can see many sailboats and jet skis. The beach is also another thing that looks nice from the top of the Magnum.
Gwazi lifthill (either) at sunset is also pretty wicked...you can see big orange laying low over St. Pete and easly imagine it dripping into the Gulf, and saying: "man, I wish I was on the beach for this one"; but then Gwazi zaps you quickly back to what is truly important in life.
Also very cool is Kraken's lift peak; although FL is flat, you are looking southward and away in the distance (12 miles or so) you can view the Disney parks.

S:ROS at SFA, great view of the whole park and on a clear day you can even see the washington monument.
-------------
Parks for 2000: CP, Great Escape, Great Adventure, SFA, Islands of Adventure, Kennywood
At the top of Medusa west you can see the golden gate bridge...
Basically anything at SFMM, especially Goliath and Superman. Goliath slows down to a crawl at the apex, allowing riders to relax with the wonderful vista trademark to the magical mountain; and superman, that just takes your breath away...
S:ROS at SFA by far. On a clear night, one can see from Arligton, Virginia to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, about eight miles east of Anapolis. Apollo's Chariot also has a really neat view going straight up the lifthill on fall mornings. It goes right into the sun.

Where would we be without the rumor mill?
Honestly, my favorite view from a coaster is Shockwave at SFGAm. I just really like how if you look straight ahead all you see is sky, and then as soon as you crest, you see the Sky trek tower, the whole rest of the park, and if the weater is nice and you look slightly to the left of the tower, you can see another famous tower...the Sears Tower!
I'll have to say The Beast. I truly am a sucker for the Ohio woodlands...
I would have to go with what 2Hostyl said. The Shockwave provides a great view of the park and on clear days you can see the Chicago Skyline along with Lake Michigan.

"DONT FIGHT IT, RIDE IT",,,,RAGING BULL
I'd have to agree with anything at SFMM, you really get lost in another world looking down from the coasters there.

SOMETHING IS COMING!!!
In 2001 a new *beast* will rise at SFMM.
I loved the view of the rest of the coaster on Shivering Timbers, front seat. Seeing just how far "out" this out and back goes is amazing. Countless hills! The rest of the scenery... well that needs help.
I would also say The Beast has a great view of the woods, and the helix finale! I love it when the 2 trains on the circut crest the lift hills at the same time.

So you want a coaster in your backyard? I hope you have a big backyard.
Top Five Best Views on a Coaster
1.Magnum , Lake Erie , CP
2.Millenium Force , Lake Erie , CP
3.Superman ROS , Conneticut River to the left+Six Flags New England to the right+Spingfeild Massachussets to the far front , SFNE
4.Superman ROS , , SFA
5.Power Tower , Lake Erie+Center of Park, CP
I definitely would say Magnum on a perfectly clear day, or Magnum at night. During the day, you can see way out over the lake, and at night you can see lights everywhere all over the park.
Something exotic here: The Dragon at Ocean Park HongKong, is an Arrow terrain coaster with three inversions and two lift hills. Its built around the top of a mountain zhat drops straight into the chinese sea!!!. The coaster is not the best ride in the world, but the view is beyond believe! (you can reach the amusement park via an escalator that crawls up the mountain!)
What about the High Roller in Vegas at night!? Can this be beaten?
I'e oly been on two hypers and S:ROS provided the best view. I was actually dissapoited with the view for the Steel Phantom. You would think that with the compact park and vast landscape it would provide a kick bleep view. Oh well.
I think that the Vortex at PKI has a good view of both the park and the woods. Also the Magnum at CP has a good view of Lake Erie.

I agree about Mean Streak... I can see my house across the bay from the top of the Mean Streak's lift hill!
