Visits to Knoebels in 2002: 8
A bunch of us GTTP'ers marathon rode Gemini last year and got the 100 laps we were going for. 23 started I think 8 or 11 of us finished. We got NOTHING for it nor did CP sponsor it. Although they did "acknowledge" it some what in their "2002 Coasters of Cedar Point" booklet:
Gemini:
"....even riders who have ridden Gemini 100x in one day agree that no 2 rides are ever the same"
I KNOW for a FACT they were indeed referring to us! :)

i've been thinking avout this subject for a while now. sfgam being my home park i would probably pick raging bull or viper. sorry demon is too painfull
i am willing to ride all day if someone lets me. if we were to get a groop together we could probably get to do it on a week day. maybe sometime soon? i might be able to get a radio station or two to sponser us for charity.

sounds good i sent off an email too. should we start geting a list of people together? i know my model railroad club would be interested.
edit: we should probably pick 1 ride. more than likely it will be viper from what i have read although i would prefer raging bull.

Well I really wouldn't wanna do it on RB, I'd rather do it on an exciting ride. (Sorry, I'm just not an RB fan at all.) I love the Demon, there is really only one rough part and that is the entrance to the corkscrews. Maybe we could get them to play the Demon song too! I'd love to do it on Viper too, that would be my second choice. My third choice would be Batman, and then Whizzer, I don't think I'd really want to do it on any other coasters though. V2 would get old real fast, I would do Iron Wolf but I'd probably be a lone rider. AE would be okay but it would lose it's "specialness" that I always look forward to. Count me in, now I just gotta get a ride!
Edit: I would GLADLY do it on RB if they took the trims off for the day! And yes if that was my only choice I would do it on RB.

Gas to get to PKI, $5.60. ACE card for walkback, $50.00. Meeting up with Beastnum1 and drinking 20 lemonjuice packets, priceless

The ice age killed the dinosaurs, we killed ourselves.
I personally think all those who wish to do such a marathon would consider doing it at a family owned or struggling park as a way to raise money to help the place out (such as the Blue Streak Marathon).
Just some food for thought :)

Any B:TR would be difficult to marathon... the most I can ride is just about 10 times before I begin to dizzy...
At SFoT, I could marathon Texas Giant all day, but Wildfire at SDC would be very easy and awesome to marathon... (gotta love that first drop!)
