Clear!! Your going out of here!

I remember a while back a post about ride spiels but heres a different question. At your homepark, do they say "Clear" or anything when a train leaves the station?

At SFDL they say "clear" on S:ROS and Predator.

At CP they say "clear" on all the coasters. On Raptor the control op says "Clear" and the op outside the booth says "You got your clear...Your going out of here!!!"

At MFI on Silver Comet they don't say anything.

At Seabreeze they don't say anything.

At BGW they just have "enjoy traveling at the speed of fright" or somethin like that on BBW and "enjoy your ride on the legendary lock ness monster". On Alpie and AP they just say enjoy your ride on the mic and thats about it.

I've been to more places but heres a few. I really like when they say that because it adds more anticipation to the ride. At parks i haven't mentioned what kind of Clear do they use?

If this counts, I like the "clear" on V2. Of course, they don't really say it, but when they say "prepare for launch" I think it sounds great and really builds up the anticipation.

Cedar Point 2003, and it begins...

On Raptor when I was there they said something your like ur clear, there goes the floor your out the door.

The cleveland browns suck, if its brown flush it down, Go Bengals!

At SFA they say "all clear" "dispatch" "enjoy your ride" .

In the case of Batwing it's usually "bow down" "all clear" "dispatch" "enjoy your flight".

And usually on Two Face it's "entrance clear" "exit clear" "dispatch" "enjoy your ride, see you on the flipside".

I seem to remember on Raptor them saying 1-2-3-4 drop the floor then we send you out the door.

My favorite is on V2 when they say Clear to Launch because you always know they will launch you a second after that.

At the Big Shot on the Stratosphere they count down "3-2-1", etc. But what's really funny is occasionally they start the count down before everyone's seated - and the look on the rider's faces as they scramble to get in the seat and pull the restraint down is hilarious.

Without the chaindog, you'd never get up the lifthill...

I noticed this summer at SFWOA and Cedar Point they said clear before dispatching the ride, but at SFGAm the only ride they say clear on is V2.

At MFI we didn't say clear because of our wonderful tape recording. "Welcome to the Silver Comet...." I wish we could have done a spiel or two, but we didn't have a mic or anything. We came up with other ways to make it fun though. Enjoy the ride...
SFGAm- Train is secure.

On power tower at CP sometimes they mess with you. They'll be like "10-9-8-7" then out of no where you get dropped/launched. its pretty funny it gets you off guard. also i like at CP after everyone says clear they all put their thumbs up.

The standard SF Great Adventure spiel ends with, "Train is/has been checked, all clear?" And after the ride ops respond with the thumbs up, you get, "Dispatch, enjoy your ride." The lone exception is The Chiller, where the spiel ends with "Batman/Robin is checked, all clear?" followed by some variation on, "Launching in 3, 2, 1 / Launching...now / Goodbye / etc."

I am very fond of the "all clear; dispatch" said at SFA. It's just cool. At PKD on Flight of Fear, they say "clear", "enjoy your ride". I think that this is said on FoF because riders probably complained. Before, the ride ops were playing around, and calling the attention of the riders to the side instead of being in a good comfortable launch position, and the ops would laugh when the people came back and complained of discomfort. This took place before and after the changeover from OTSR to lapbar.

The Power Tower ops... heh, I remember on the launch, staged and ready, and the op is telling my friend and I how to sit (with arms and legs extended). We're in mid conversation when *weeeee!* we're launched.

I know on most of CP's coasters, there's a "ready ready" *thumbs up* "Clear.". In addition, on Wicked Twister, you get a "Launching in 3...2...1" (sometimes skipping the 2 or 1...)

I never heard that recording. I don't think they were playing it because i wouldn't have missed it since I rode it 18 times that day.

BTW, whats your name? I may remember you from the ride.

Oh yea on Power Tower it sounded like some foriegn guy in the control tower and I couldn't understand him so I was sure when we were gonna be launched. He's "ready ready, uhh, zaclear,.....All zclear"

At Carowinds they used to say "Lightnin'strikes....NOW" for White Lightnin' Now we have that anoyying recording that says over and over "The train is now leaving the station" on all the coasters except on Thunder Road where it says "The BLUE Train is now leaving the station". It used to mention the red train for the forward side until they changed the color scheme to gray.
