Chris Sawyer, creator of the RollerCoaster Tycoon series, has revealed more about the upcoming RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. Sawyer says the new game will improve some of the user interface to make editing terrain and coasters easier.

I love RCT, but only for building purposes. Never have been interested in the "game" aspect.
Personally I am excited to see ride additions. Please, please please, give us more flats and spin and spew options CS!

That's odd, because I always enjoyed the scenario aspect more than anything, because it gave me opportunities to be creative about how I fit something in the terrain or around exisiting rides. I prefer that to the flat map sandbox mode that cheats have afforded us.

How long is the wait time from this point?
My wish list for the new game is rather short:
1. faster and/or adjustable water speed in the water rides; 2. the ability to bank a curved decline/incline; 3. MORE FLATS!
If those three things are in RCT 2 I'm a happy camper. A sandbox mode is unimportant to me as trainers will follow the game's release and we can tweak it all we want. BTW, I also enjoy the scenarios.

Less Puke! Unless the extreme nature of the ride warrants it. I'd also love to have the option of closing the park to perform maintanance without the senario going to hell.
Nighttime riding is also a plus....can't wait!
I'd be happy with a few more track pieces, like a banked drop, or steeper helices. Anything that would make the track layouts more interesting. It was a little too limited, although it worked well with the scenarios.
Making it more realistic could be bad and make the game too complex, but I would also like a 'night-and-day' aspect so you can have some time to clean up and maintain rides. It just bothers me when some patrons get mad enough to start vandalizing, then you realize they've been stuck in a line for 10 months.

1. Offseason-Instead of just skipping Nov.-Feb. allow building during the time although the park is closed.
2. Banked inclines and inclined in-line twists- This would help recreate coasters more accurately and more accurately create inversions like immelmans.
3. More flats for sure
4. Midway games
5. More accurate time control and financial figures
The night and day thing was something I always thought would be cool. I know that in an e-mail exchange I had with Sawyer a few years ago, he said he tried to do a blocking system, but felt it made things too complex. I'd love to see that worked into the game (although gradual intensity brake runs and high altitude stations effectively deal with crashes anyway).

I think it is a great thing that we will not have to take a tree out one at a time. That and the fact that there will be many new rides will be great...
What im lookin for:
Waterpark stuff
Night
Many rides.

Im looking for more ROLLERCOASTERS! Like, B&M Flyer, 4-D, Giovannola Track and more trains with different styles. I would also like to see cat walks on the lift this time! and better supports instead of one straight up and down. Better track options with turns and loops and dips. Better theming for coasters like tunnels, and fog;mist, and fire blasts like volcano. Well that's waht I would like to see.

I would love to see the ride get new inversions, or to bank inclines, because I would love to build Zero G Rolls that really look like the real thing on B&M floorless and sit down coasters, instead of building up an incline, make a straight piece of track, parralell with the ground, and then put in the roll.
I would also like to see night and day to maintain rides and things like that along with more flat rides and different coaster types like 4-D, B&M hyper, etc. Can't wait for this thing to come out!
