Charity eBay auction for first Voyage rides on May 6

Head over to eBay and search for "Voyage Roller Coaster" for all the details.

In essence ... an hour of Voyage ERT before we open to the public on the opening day of our 60th Anniversary Season.

Oh...and a Voyage shirt and a free meal.

All for a really good charity!

Bid early ... bid often!

Thanks, Paula

I'd love to win the auction for the 1st ride on Voyage, but I've already won one at Eastcoaster for Kentucky Rumbler. However, to the person who does win the auction, CONGRATULATIONS!
"Persons," actually ... there will be 28 winners.

Do they have to (get to?) wear fancy pilgrim garb for the inaugural trip? ;)

:)

The pilgrims weren't fancy, Bill...

I still think that the trains should be named Mayflower 1, Mayflower 2, and Mayflower 3. However, I also still can't shake the idea that naming the trains as such, sounds like your calling them the next 3 space shuttles for NASA.

Does that mean your ride ops will be required to be somber? ;)

Paula--since the auction is for 28 riders (one train), will the other contests be filling up the other two trains? Is the plan to be running all three trains on opening day? Thanks!
Just 24 days to go. Wheee! :)

I'm not sure of the specifics yet, as a different department handles the contests. All I know is I get one train to fill for the eBay auction. :)

That would be 10am - 11am in Gatorland

I wouldn't count on them having all three trains running or at least in operation for a week or two after opening it. It takes some skill and training to do that. They could probably run two just on lifthill blocking alone (Like Legend) but who knows?

I've already lost my target rolling date and Im told its gonna be at least another week or so but still plenty of time for testing and certification for opening.

Chuck, who's gonna have to miss that opening in favor of HW nights and at least one, maybe two visits over the summer.

Two trains should be plenty--hope that's manageable. :)

My bid is official.

Start kissing my butt now, because I won't be there if I win. ;)

If you were going to name the trains individually, why not call them, Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria?
