change of heart?

I personally am ALL for any reduction in the lines for The Force (even though it's not my favorite coaster anywhere, it IS my fav at CP, Raptor a close second). I liked Maggie, MS, and Mantis more a few years ago when they ran faster/ smoother, but how many parks in Florida have even FIVE coasters total....NONE! So I'll ride WT during ERT, at least once, but even then I expect only one or two spins...and then on to other ERT goodies, like perhaps Blue Streak..... Did I mention it'll be our first CP "event"? Man June is gonna ROCK...

Sorry Gator, IOA has 5 coasters, Got five down in my credits there and if you count Universal next door that makes 6 or 7 right?

Chuck, who says don't be mad cause i got to do FLyers :)

Americana (Now called The great americana amusement park at Lesourdsville Lake) is opening in 2002. Indivdual visits are very improtant to the parks survival.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has 6 coasters(Kumba, Montu, Gwazi(two different rides), Pyhton, and Scorpion)

Universal Escape has 6 coasters(Petrydon Flyer, Unicorn Coaster, Hulk, Dueling Dragons(fire and ice), and Woody's Nuthouse Coaster)

Disneyworld has 6 coasters(Gadget's Go Coaster, Big Thunder Mountain, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, Space Mountain(regular and fast track), Primavera Whirl)

OK, I'm busted as far as BGT...some will insist there's five coasters, others six. I'll admit that I *totally* forgot about Python (how COULD that have happened...LOL). I do count Gwazi as two however since the layouts are different and so I'll say five there...

But then again, to say that Universal has six, I'm sorry, that's "just not right". I've tried, repeatedly, to get on PF, and cannot ride unless I can take Cotton Hill with me (he's got no shins due to the Nazis, and is therefore short enough to get me on...). But I sure would LOVE to ride the P. Flyers, they sure do look like fun! And Woody's is in a separate-admission park, so that doesn't count in my book....(segue)

This is the same story I'd tell about Disney, only worse. How many parks to ride all those coasters, and I'm not even sure if "The Whirl" is open yet. Sadly, it's been about four years since I've been to Disney, so maybe this winter I'll drop my BGT pass (no new rides) in favor of a Disney annual pass....

Back to topic...(eventually), you can NEVER be disappointed with new rides, esp. if it's a coaster AND it's located "there"...

I'm not exited at all either... I think most people would've expected cedar fair to give xcellerator to CP and the impulse to Knotts.

If Xcellererator was coming to CP I'd be exited, but theres just something about Wicked Twister that doesn't exite me.

(like the fact that ive been on a coaster very very similar to it)

But thats the way the cookie crumbles, I bet west coast people are cheering.

I was disappointed at first with the idea of an impulse going in there, because I was hoping for something more. However, over time and thinking about it, the double twisting impulse does add a nice variety. It even seems a bit nicer than if they just added in another full circuit beast. Now they have more variety, and it's another invert. Also, that thing on the beach is just... huge..... Can't help but be impressed and excited!

:-) So yeah you could say I had a good ol' change of heart. Maybe they'll get a super hyper floorless next with multiple insane inversions ooOOoOoOoOOoOOOoo.......

Gator - just because you can't get on PT doesn't mean the coaster does not exist.

2002 - the year of IB's LoCoSuMo!!

Can't you guys just be excited to go to Cedar Fair this year, one of the finest parks in the world, and on top of that, if not already spoiled with the luxuries of M Force, Magnum, Raptor, and Mantis, you also are one of the few parks in the country to recieve a new coaster this year. Wicked Twister is better than nothing and I couldn't think of any other park that would get these responses if Wicked Twister was added(don't say a park that has one already;)). This kind of response shows how you feel about Cedar Point. A solid fan of the park would be happy just to go spend the day racing laps on Gemeni, soaring with M Force, rocketing with Magnum, flying with Raptor, plunging on Demon Drop, screaming on Rip Cord.......not sitting here saying "what I got frozen yogurt(Wicked Twister) for dessert YUCK I wanted real ice cream(Xcellerator), for being the few that would have this luxury of getting a dessert(a new coaster this year), they shouldn't be picky on what it is.
