CellPhones?

^I know, Moosh.....just messin' with ya. ;-) I do have a top 10 just like any other geek, and two of them are from your neck of the woods. :-P

And it's not Tiki Torch:TR. :-)

Danimales,

I also agree that it's a pain when someone answers their cell while in the middle of a conversation with you (which their calls are usually trivial and can wait).

What's even worse, is when you are in a restaurant or store and they are shouting on their cell phone "Can you hear me?" "Let me call you back I have another call".

Then there are the few dips**** I have seen who answered their cell phones while on a coaster or a flat ride.

I think getting the CBuzz news on a mobile device would be prety neat, but surfing any web forum on a phone just isn't very productive.

Actually I think forums are perfectly suited for mobile devices. They are usually free of images and reformat nicely. I've used my PDA to read the forums here when I've been waiting for a 2 hour layover in the airport, stuck in a doctor's waiting room for an hour, etc. No different from bring along a magazine.

^Good point. There's really not much else to do at an airport that's not overpriced. :-)

I'm not totally against the idea of using the Internet from anywhere. I guess it's just me thinking about life before the Internet, something kids don't remember. That doesn't make me feel old as much as it makes me realize how much things have changed (I blogged about this recently). College would have been really different for sure, but I can only wonder if the technology would've enabled me to score more often or leave me locked in my room and never getting any. We didn't have wireless phones, instant messages, e-mail, etc. Sounds like the dark ages!

Agreed. But you are making ME feel old now, and I am only a year older than you. lol.

My mom mentioned the other day that she was GLAD my brother and I did not have those same things in high school, or even college for that matter (well the internet was around buy not *mainstream*). Then again my parents are just getting used to the concept of emailing their friends.

I am not sure what she meant by that, but it's obvious things MIGHT of been different back in the late 80's/early 90's. I could of got my college degree online at least. ;-)
