You could try accessing it through Skweezer. Just go to http://www.skweezer.net/ and enter the website you wish to view. Skweezer strips out most of the images and reformats it for mobile viewing.

Why would you want to access the site on the phone anyway? Not being a smartass... I'd really like to know.

Possibly if they weren't home or anywhere that didn't have a computer and wanted to see if there was any new news that has been reported.

I've tried this before also, I think you should make a mobile version of the site just for news.

With all the free time and extra money Jeff has I'm sure he can whip that right up in no time ;)
I've tried to access this site via mobile link just out of sheer boredom. I like being able to get news/sports/weather headlines from a site like Yahoo but I have no interest at all in surfing the message boards here via a cell phone. About the only thing I could think of is that it *might* be interesting if I could check the news headlines on here but that would be if I were away from my computer for an extended period of time. Other than that, I think there's no need in making it available for mobile browsing.

I dont see a need, but I could come up with a reason. When I was waiting in line for 1 train op on X, I was perusing the web via my phone just to do something other than baking in the sun.

One more reason to dev with XHTML/CSS.

I could see myself in an airport checking the site via a cell phone if the screen was nice enough. Why not?

Because cell phone bills are rediculous.

Thats my reason.

Actually, Moosh, it wouldn't be that hard (or time consuming) to make. More like make a page with a small CB banner, and the news links following, link it to a page with the actual news story. It could easily be done in an hour (or under).

Jeff has a couple different XML feeds that you should be able to access easily. Just get a good reader for your phone.

Not really... those feeds have summaries and that's it.

I know that GregLeg has viewed the site on a Pocket PC device and it looked mostly right, which surprised the heck out of me. Mobile stuff is sort of interesting to me, but even if I offer something like that it would probably only be for club members.

You could always, you know, go to the park with interesting people and then, like, talk to them while in line...

But then, even with interesting people I won't wait longer than 20 minutes for most any ride these days.

Why converse with people in line when you could just text message them and save the time and energy it takes to talk? ;)
