Cedar Point's Top Thrill Dragster introduced to media

Posted | Contributed by Gemini

Although the day started out with a lightning show from Mother Nature, skies quickly brightened as Cedar Point unleashed Top Thrill Dragster. Virtual Midway has complete coverage of the day's activities with photos, video, and more.

In addition to the excellent coverage from Virtual Midway, check out the story from USA Today and a story and review from The Plain Dealer.

We won't really know until opening day. Media day is far from standard operation.

What was media day operation like? Can you get as many rides on as you want? Do they run all the trains? How many people go? How do you even get to go?
Oo my gosh i going in June too ! Can't Wait

I asked the ride op at the station entrance what normal operation would be like and he said you could wait for the front or back if you wanted. I forgot to ask about the middle rows though lol. Not like there's a huge difference, though, any seat is spectacular!

Top Thrill Dragster -- The most intense, unbelievable, and spectacular fifteen seconds on any coaster, anywhere, ever.

Here in uk we had a report on the news and they said a crazy fact that it costs £50 a ride what tell me it isnt true!!
That's crap. The ride is part of the pay-one-price at the gate, which is $43.95, or $63.95 for a 2-day pass (prices from Cedar Point's Admission page)

Is it just me or do English newspapers play fast and loose with basic facts?

A day is a drop of water in the ocean of eternity. A week is seven drops.

Does anyone suppose that the title of the USA Today site and the fact that the number 420 is right beside it, was on purpose as a play on words and pop culture?

It's still me, here from the beginning back in 1999. Add 1500+ posts to the number I have in the info section if you care about such things.
