Yeah, that's what Dad said. :)

Well, I'm not sure how long Dippin Dots have been around. But, I remember the first time I had them. It was 1996, the year the Great Lakes Science Center Opened.
After a quick Wiki search, it seems they were invented in 1987. But the company wasn't founded until 1995.

So are they now "Ice Cream of the Past"?
No. Soft serve ice cream is the "Ice Cream of the past."
Dippin' Dots is now just referred to as "ice cream."
Hi
Back when Dippin' Dots *were* the Ice Cream of The Future, my friend Kathe would say: "What do Dippin' Dots tell us about the future? That it's expensive, and tastes bad!"

Yeah, but the Dippin Dots man wasn't the brother of some guy my friend knew who ate lunch at the park one day!;)
If you're curious and can't make it to CoasterMania, we're going to carry the keynote live tonight at 7:30pm EDT.

^Hmm...I wonder if I can get that on my phone while standing in line for The Voyage...
Can we get Holiday World to broadcast it over the park PA? :)
Seriously now, how many of us really wish we could go to both parks this weekend?

Actually, as my Dad pointed out to me when we were at Cedar Point a couple of weeks ago, most of the Dippin' Dots locations are no longer identified as "Ice Cream of the Future".--Dave Althoff, Jr.
I was thinking about this over the weekend while I was at the park this weekend. I don't know where all the locations are. But, I noticed something. Of the locations that I saw, all the stands around the park have had the phrase removed except for on Frontier Trail and in Frontier Town. I assume it would be because it would still be the Ice Cream of the Future in the old west. :)

So how was the event? We did Holiwood nights this year and had a blast. Did the bad weather affect any ride time? Saw the storms and tornadoes west of there late Sat and wondered how they dealt with it if at all?
We got about as lucky as we could with the weather. The weather didn't really affect any of the ride time. The sky was pretty much cloudless for our photo walk backs. There was a bit of rain on and off Saturday. but, the severe weather was south of us Friday and North of us Saturday. The first major weather to hit Sandusky was in the middle of the night Saturday. It was raining on and off this morning. So, we only grabbed 1 ride on Raptor before heading home.

The B&M talk was Walter Bollinger talking about the history of his company. That was it.
To which, as a B&M fan, I found completely interesting, even despite meeting them at Busch a couple of times.
I personally dont need "teaser" information to find it interesting.
