I'm sure Cp is gonna wanna keep the record of most coasters at one park record for the simple fact that it just sounds attracting to the GP. I'm not gonna try to guess what it is, but I think they are due fer a woodie!! their next ride might not be the fastest or longest, ect. but we all know in true CP fashion, it'll best a world- class coaster!!
Yes, Addict, I agree they are due for a woodie. The last one was Mean Streak back in 1991...and it's still the best ride in the park ;)

Best Steel: MF @ Cedar Point
Best Woodie: The Beast @ PKI
Best Park IOA!
Get to the Point, Cedar oint!"

I don't think they will build over the water because Cedar Point doesn't own the water. Also if they did that and the lake froze in the winter it could ruin the ride.

Cedar Point! The Greatest Place on Earth!
I don't think they'll ever build over water. I mean a boardwalk could or something like that, but not a coaster.

It'll be interesting to see what they end up doing. We all know that Cedar Point has something up their sleeve for 2002. Wether or not it is a record breaking coaster won't matter because it will definitely be a world class coaster. I can't wait till an announcement or further evidence from some of you CP members!

Steel- 1.Millennium Force
Wood- 1.The Beast
"Airtime, how sweet it is!"
I think they are going to build a thrust air inverted stand-up dueling woodie! ;)

I hope that they build a thrust-air myself. I know I'm going to CP next year, and really want to ride XLC, but it's not at CP, now is it?

Cyclops. 1900 feet of CCI goodness.
It will probably be something small like a wild mouse. I don't picture them building something huge for 2002. Well you never know.
Nitro, CP has ALWAYS gotten something big every two years, and I don't expect that to change.

87 - Iron Dragon (which was quite big at the time)
89 - Magnum
90 - Disaster Transport
91 - Mean Streak
92 - Snake River Falls
94 - Raptor
96 - Mantis
98 - PowerTower
2000 - MF

They're not going to stop. Especially not now, since SFWoA is down there building like crazy, and PKI has announced a huge new attraction. It's more heated in Ohio now than it has ever been. CP won't just sit on their thumbs.

I hope it's the longest coaster. Personally, I hope it's a steel coaster. I love CCI's and GCI's, but CP has found it's niche in steel I think. *** This post was edited by Clarkbar on 7/8/2001. ***

There are a few coasters at CP that have footers in water (the lagoon). Mantis has many, as does MF (third hill and lagoon hop), as does Iron Dragon, as does Mine Ride... and those waters are much smaller than Lake Erie are more likely to freeze.

Anyways, I still don't think they will build a coaster that goes out to Lake Erie, at least not next year.

Snake River Falls was built in 1993, not to be picky. :)

The Lagoons are man-made and they are drained in the off-season.

Your best? Losers are always whining about doing there best...winners go home and ******* the prom queen.
Man, I knew that too. What an idiot I am...

Steuks!!
lets get one thing striaght they will most likely get a coaster next year, and not just cause CP builds a coaster every other year or cause SFMM took there record. But because SFWoA are getting permission to build a 200ft coaster next year, either Superman Ride of Steel or somthing like X, so that is why most likely CP isn't going to sit on there*****this off season.
