Cedar Point, Wicked Twister and Capacity Issue

Simply enough, gang. The park and the ride ops will hit the 1,000 pph, if you like it or not. Jeff makes a good point that nobody has seen a shuttle run at Cedar Point. The park really cares about capacity, and well they should. Guests waiting in line, are no out in the park spending their money :)

It'll happen...give them a few weeks to train...

It is nice to see a park is making a very serious effort to run a ride as efficiently as possible. they are dedicating a high number of employees to insure this, and the employees themselves have a high degree of dedication to performing as well as possible. That is great to see, and in this industry not as common as I would like. It seems that Cedar Point is a great park on more than just the surface. Count on me to be making a trip there this summer.

Cp will nod get up to 1000 ppr, it will not happen. there will be 1min and 1/2 between ride cycles. But what they will do for convienience is the ticket to ride whch will be nice. the thing is that 1000pph is not in any reality or even close to it.

And you KNOW this how?

CP may NOT get to 1000 pph, this is true. But until we see what exactly Intamin's delivered, AND watch the operators at Cedar Point in action, we won't know...

What makes you think that Ticket to Ride will be a convenience? I've only heard bad comments from when it was on Millennium Force.

Regarding total staff, I'm not really sure. Obviously there will be 6 ops checking restraints. One of which will hopefully be spiels with a wireless headset. There will probably be a crowd position, (position at entrance of station) controls, entrance, and probably 3 people running breaks. Again, this is all a guess, I won't really know till I process in on May 6th. There will be some of my fellow crew members arriving in April, but I'm not sure if they'll be training on the ride just yet, as Intamin might still be working out the bugs.

Thanks to those who've had positive comments for me and my crew. I hope to see some of you this summer.
