I guess I'm a fan of the regular sit down, floor-ed roller coasters that feature big hills, airtime, and speed.
Which is exactly why Cedar Point added Maverick. They already have other rides for fans of your type of ride.
Don't get your hopes up for much more.
Agreed. At most, if it IS a ride, it will just be a clue.
I was so GREATLY disappointed with Maverick that I can remember saying to myself, "wow, what was all that about" after riding. You would think it was going to be the second coming of Jesus Christ by the way everyone was building it up.
That's no one's fault but your own. In fact, Jeff knew what the ride was, and repeatedly mentioned (OK, so he mentioned it once but people tried to dissect it for some reason) that "enthusiasts" would probably be disappointed.
The most ironic thing about your statement is that Cedar Point did virtually NOTHING to build hype for Maverick. It was all done here....in this little box....and all of about 300 people in the entire world were hyped for it. The other billion people in America didnt even know (or care) that Cedar Point was building anything. So please, dont try to make it sound like Cedar Point built up this melo-drama that you happened to get caught up in.
You are but a small cog in a vast, heartless corporation, not every teenage girl's fantasy! Oh my gosh, how amusing
I see your cog is as big as mine.......

I don't think I can take another 'what's going to be happening for 2008 at CP' thread.
Luckily we all have the option of not clicking on it. :)

Guilty as charged... You know, it's kind of like seeing a bad train wreck - you know you shouldn't be staring but some part of you does anyway as a purely reflex action.
A. They have to put all those "Save Geauga Lake" petitions and letters somewhere don't they? :)
Coaster Junkie from NH
I drive in & out of Boston, so I ride coasters to relax!
We’ll keep you on track with our plans for the 2008 season as soon as we’re ready to let the kittens out of the bag.
Deliberate choice of words, no?
