Cedar Point isn't ready to let their crown go without a fight. Again.

Interesting. I can think of a lot of parks with less coasters of higher quality that I wouldn't rather spend the day at.

Takes a lot more than coasters to make the day enjoyable for me.

+1

I enjoyed Animal Kingdom before they had either coaster. And, I suspect I am going to enjoy Legoland (considering what I've seen of it thus far) and I don't think that they will have any coasters that will make anyone's top 10...or even top 20 for that matter.

Six Flags has Mr Six and Cedar Fair has Dick Kinzel. Does anyone know if Dick can dance?

I think they both have some quality rides but more filler at both parks. I can say that each park could cut their count by at least half and still keep the quality rides. Sadly though SFMM has no quality flats like CP does.

And if he can, can you dance with Dick?

And if you can, can anyone watch from the midway?

And if it can be, can I stand in front of everyone else?

That also can be, but only for a fee.

Dick learned the pee dance really well when he was a seasonal.

The comments on the page are making me facepalm. People saying Cedar Point tickets costing to much.... do they only buy tickets Gate Price? I can get tickets easily for 30 or under at multiple places. Triple A used to be my good to go before I started getting Season Passes..

Also, Cedar Point should not complain. Lots of Coasters can be called something other than a coaster... Hell, they can just say Gemini is two coasters to tie the record... But who cares about the record. Its quality over Quantity any day.

Does this also give us a hint as to the 2012 addition will be? I smell a coaster or 3 coming...

^ That's always the thing. If you one-up, the other one hits the ball back even harder. If Cedar Point were to pull that with Gemini, then Magic Mountain could step up and count Colossus' as two and Superman as two, and they'd STILL have less than Magic Mountain.

This is what's so dumb - Cedar Point's PR team keeps using the "Superman is like Demon Drop, they both have the L-shape structure, but we didn't count it" argument. Uh. Hello? Magic Mountain had the exact same ride as Demon Drop, and they didn't count Freefall as a coaster.

Eh.

I think magic mountain wins on the coaster wars. Even without the Superman ride, Magic Mountain's collection of coasters beats Cedar Point hands down. As they have a few of the same types of coasters that Cedar Point has, only one up from what Cedar Point has built, Minus M-force and Top Thrill Dragster, where Cedar Point wins.

I was just making the point that Magic Mountain wins on the coaster count, because of it's great coasters, which is why they win the coaster war.

Cedar Point might have count, but, it really only has a handful of Coasters that are better than what is at Magic mountain. For them to complain that Superman is not a coaster could also be said about Cedar Points weak coasters being counted at all. Like Junior Gemini. Almost every coaster at Cedar Point is trumped by bigger rides at Magic Mountain. Some rides win, but, most lose.

^ Other than The Riddler's Revenge, Colossus, Ninja, and Viper, every comparable coaster at Cedar Point is bigger in size than the Magic Mountain version.

Then again, that's just talking sheet specs and numbers.

Whether or not Cedar Point or Magic Mountain has the better collection of roller coasters is completely subjective.
