Cedar Point Announces Fast Lane On Facebook

All those likes are from the 1% folks. So they don't count. Or at least they shouldn't count. Power to the people.

Wow, I didn't know I was in the 1%

Hey Raven-Phile:

I didn't say anything about a booth at Gemini. I said I was walking into what I thought was the entrance to Gemini, and was stopped by the girl who was asking me for my pass. And, I had a cup of soda in my hand not a beer. As I do not drink beer. And, when she told me that I could not drink my pop in line, when they sell pop in line, it made me mad. I don't make things up sir.

Read it again. I said that they've never banned soda from their lines as far as I can remember, only beer. Maybe you should drink beer, it might settle down your hyper-bitching.

Again, there was *never* a fast pass for Gemini, and there has never before been a pay to wait less system at CP. You're making things up, and no amount of denying that is going to change that fact. You're delusional, and all your useless complaining has started to affect your thought process.

In my industry we typically use Facebook and Twitter for one way communication. Those accounts can be set up so that there is no opportunity for feedback. I think it is commonly felt that those comments could do more damage than any goodwill that it might generate.

The rides at CP which are going to implement the Fast Pass shouldn't see much of a change in line-times

I'm more interested in the Canada's Wonderland fast pass... one of the rides is a super popular "boomerang". And an SLR, and the "stunt coaster". Rides I would normally skip due to line lengths

Maybe you are a pretender or a wannabe? Either way, you are sympathetic to the 1 'center's causes. :)

Cedar Point has 975,603 fans on Facebook which means they can directly reach 975,603 fans for free. That story had 123 shares, most of which you can read.

Here are a few...

I need 3 other people who want to buy a fast lane pass for just $30. If you buy 5 passes at a time it's just $30 per person instead of $50 for one ticket.

I think I'll be fast laning it this August.

cannot wait for summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

looks like summer just got a little better :)

Only one negative public share.

Cedar Point: you officially S-U-C-K!!! now, if you have money to burn, you can cut in front of me in line...I have always commented how "Cedar Point does it right..." but I won't be saying that any longer...

Hi

What if I just wanted to drink beer?

Or Mountain Dew mixed with Dude vodka?

Or Maverick.

I agree with jonnytips. Fast Lane is much more beneficial at the other CF parks than at CP and its better-than-average capacity.

I still don't quite understand how people are experiencing anything close to short lines at Cedar Point. I've probably been to 10 different parks spanning 17 trips over the past decade and my 4 visits to Cedar Point are numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4 in terms of most time spent queuing.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!

You're visiting at the wrong times.

1. Never visit CP on Saturday.
2. Avoid late June through late August.
3. Follow the calendar hours. Typically, the shorter the hours open, the shorter the waits.

If you go on one of the earlier weekdays or Sunday in May, you should not need Fast Lane. The least crowded weekend all year is typically the one following Labor Day. If doing Halloweekends, go to the earlier ones on Sunday. This formula has worked as long as I can remember. I sometimes feel like the park is dying, but then I realize that I just pick all the right days when people complain of the crowds.

Great post Jeph! I think people need to be reminded of that sometimes.

But, not everyone has the luxury of being able to go during those dead times. I bet the ones that are able to all look down their noses at the poor saps that are involved in other aspects of life.

Yeah, when I go on one of those Sundays in early May, I laugh when I think of all the suckers who will be there on a Saturday afternoon in July baking in the hot sun and getting a fraction of the rides that I am.

But I thought only paying more to receive more was morally wrong?

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

But I *can't* look down my nose at them, because we go on different days, silly.

Maybe I could just check out the webcams and look down my nose at them virtually. Pretty easy since the cameras are mounted up high. I'll be sure to do it on my iPhone too, so it's even snootier.

Well, Bryan, I'm going to do it from my iPad.

So, who wants to join me in my quest to bring down the people who go on slow days? It's morally wrong that I have to be stuck at work instead of riding rides. :)
