Just proves that objectivity rules the planet.. ;)
Doesn't mean CP isn't great in lots of other areas, mind you...;)
and the Frontier carosel should as much as I realize Dorney was lacking one, needed to stay at the park
Heck, keep the CD player in there so when the thing breaks, you can turn the CD player on instead, then you can call an organ man instead of having one on staff, and if it takes him a couple days to get there, then people can tolerate CD's for a couple days.
It really is quite ridiculous that Cedar Point of all places doesn't have a working band organ.

That's because people walk around the park all day with their mouth agape and jaw on the ground. When you can do that...you don't need one!!! ;)
But you're right...it is ridiculous! Those missing little things, certainly do mean a lot.

Austin: I guess it means that more people pay attention to band organs then you would think!

I'm a young friend of Don Stinson's. Don is retired now and is trying to liquidate much of his old parts and tools before he gets too frail. He's having an auction Sat, Jan 26th, 2019 at Logan Auction (Mick Lile & Assoc) in Bellefontaine, OH at 10am. I also don't know how many of the organ parts themselves are saleable or in the auction, as the AuctionZip description seems lacking and mostly just lists random memorabilia Don has collected. I was just in his workshop in December and there were myriad wooden handmade parts filling multiple rooms and shelves.
I realize this thread is dead, but I don't know where else to announce this.
I don’t have a particular use, but nonetheless carry a deep appreciation.
I can’t help but think that there are amusement parks and carnivals with band organs that may be interested, though. Maybe news of the auction has gotten around.
And please thank Don for his long service to the industry. I imagine in this day and age he’s one of a kind, or close at least.
