Cedar Point 2007. Here's the latest.

Panda Express would fit in nicely by Iron Dragon.

Last season a food service area supervisor told me that Frontier Inn would be changing to a fried chicken restaurant. I've said it before, but I hold on to the hope that they will bring Mrs. Knott's chicken to the Point. That and Maverick would certainly keep that little corner of the park hoppin'.

Had Panda for lunch today.

Wow, I'm kind of suprised this wasn't all announced when Maverick was announced.

Well anyways, 2007 sounds like its gonna be a great year. The parade sounds very nice. Probably going to be a nickalodeon parade but there could be some snoopy also. who knows? The new restaurants sound nice and it'd be good if they themed it all nicely. And Maverick as we all know should be quite impressive. I have a good feeling about this one.

Well now that they have the ultimate thrills I think It'd be nice if they would focus a bit more on the younger ones of the family. I think it'd be nice if they added or re-themed a kids area to Nickelodeon. Since the nick themed areas at the paramount parks seem to be nice and the kids absolutely love em.

Anybody wondering what the next area of the park Cedar Point renovates, the last two years they have been sending people to the back, anyone have a clue whats next after this, hopefully convert the corkscrew thing into B&M track and trains and save people some pain.

I know it wouldnt happen but I can dream right?

...convert the corkscrew thing...

I think you're referring to the coaster known as Corkscrew.

Convert Corkscrew into a B&M? LOL!! That's hysterical.

On another note, am I the only one who thinks installing a bunch of fast food chains in the park just cheapens the park as an entity? Do they not have a food service department that can manage all the restaurants? Ya know, like Disney does? They make their own themed restaurants (at least in the parks). I'd much rather eat at Breakwater Cafe than some Pizza Hut in the park.

3-Point Challenge in Frontiertown??? Horrible, I hope to god it's near the outskirts like near the MF Plaza or something.

Hate those games....I felt like puking when I saw the one at CFKD.

The sentiment is duly noted but just to be nit-picky I do believe some of the Disney parks have some thinly-veiled McDonalds inside. I believe they are somewhat themed but it's definitely not 100% Disney created food/atmosphere.

There's also a Rainforest Cafe attached to Animal Kingdom, kinda sort counts.

But still, I agree with you, I'd much rather see unique eateries in parks rather than chains. Unless I'm at an park with generally crappy food, then I'll just go with whatever.

Both Disneyland and DCA have McDonalds.

I feel the same way. I also hate those games. This was the only new item mentioned that I was not happy about. The rest of the new changes sound great! *** Edited 2/7/2007 3:21:19 AM UTC by Mikewhy***

At least I hope they don't give away those stupid basketballs. I hate walking down the midway and someone is bouncing that stupid ball around.

Ya got my full and complete, undivided attention with one little word: CHIPOTLE!!

But could you imagine the lines at that place? If you've ever been to a Chipotle you know the lines usually wrap around the place at lunch time. Imagine what it would be like if 30,000 - 40,000 were walking past it all day long.

But that's wishful thinking.

... or thinking they're cool tossing it between some friends in the switchbacks of some queue lines. I agree they are annoying at times.

^^ The lines may be long, but every time I'm there (which isn't often because there are none in my home area :( ) the line doesn't take a long time -- they run through with capacity better than Cedar Fair! :)
