Cedar Point - Year Round Resort?

Which ones? I'm curious since the only reason I know of that they haven't run in cold weather is that people are smart enough not to ride.

Most steel coasters were not designed (structurally) to deal with the stresses imposed on them under lower temperatures. When it gets colder, steel becomes stiffer and less able to absorb force. While CP probably designs them better than most parks in this regard due to its location, I highly doubt that they would run it when it is below 25 degrees due to safety reasons.

Steel coasters actually tend to run slower when its cold out.

Top 5 Wood #1 Viper #2 Thunderbolt #3 Timberwolf #4 Outlaw #5 Screaming Eagle

We all know that, that is what we are talking about...

Just seal up the rails and pump hot water through them when it gets cold.
Uh.. what gould would pumping through the rails do? The reason the trains slow down is because the bearings and ****e get stiff and create more friction on the wheels/axles.

Actually, they're just going to put a HUGE dome over the Po!nt, like the AdventureDome, and heat it during the Winter so the rides can run all year....

...and everyone thinks that big yellow tower is for a coaster. Can you say Dome support? ;-)
