^ Wow, not surprised at the "cheap" Maxx pass considering the lack of nearby CF parks....it IS kinda funny to me that they recognize the weird Canadian love for water...LOL!

You Ohio kids, YOU are the ones responsible for the rest of us having to pay more for our passes....hehe! ;)

Just think at Canada's wonderland the prices are in canadian money. Purchase them with your credit card and you get the best exchange rate. I was just in Niagara Falls and took my family to dinner, the bill was $100 canadian, I paid with my credit card and I got my bill and it was $80 in american money.
The Maxx Pass pricing is decent, but the CP only pass is about $10-20 too much in my opinion. Last year you got CP and the entire CF chain for $100 ($90 if you got it early). This year it is $5 more without the rest of the chain. Add to that the fact that parking can't be put on the season pass, and I feel like I'm getting ripped off this year.

Look at it this way. You were ripping them off last year.

I look at it as them actually providing value last year. With raising pricing a buck during the season, and the season pass stuff I mentioned, I really think they are losing some of the perceived value they used to have. And that is bothering me.

How many people who don't visit this site are going to check the websites for every CF park to see what they're charging for the Maxx Pass?

How many would seriously consider going out of state to activate their pass in April or May?

I don't believe the regional economy has as much to do with the price of the Maxx Pass as the availability of parks from which to choose. For those who consider one of the Ohio parks their home park, it's very likely you'll make multiple visits to all three parks. For those of us near Dorney, yeah, we might actually make a trip to Ohio or Virginia.

If you're near one of the more isolated parks, how likely are people to travel to 2 or 3 other CF parks? With a pass that's a bit less expensive, you might consider it.

The perceived value may be less, BUT it's still a STEAL if you ask me, especially if you're able to attend any of the parks upwards of 10 times per year. If I lived in Ohio near one of the "big three", I'd probably use my pass 20 times a year easily. At that rate, $200 for a pass would still be a great deal!

I honestly plan on visiting several this coming year so I will definitely be using the Maxx version.

Besides VF is just 6 hours from here and all interstate. :) Looking forward to Coaster Craze for some Renegade ERT!

VF has parking passes. They have never been offered in the fall, but have always been avalible at processing in the spring.

That is my real problem with VF season passes, they are valid 4-1 to 3-31, but processing doesn't start until mid April, so even if you buy them every year, it isn't possible to get a 365 day year out of it. Personally, I think that they should be valid 5-1 to 4-31, it would make things a lot easier for the traveling passholders among us.

I am willing to go out of state in April to process :) Any idea which park will open first? Most don't update their online calendars until a few weeks before they open. I am in Ohio and will be doing some more traveling next year, thanks to a new job.

I still think if you add up ALL of the MAXX passes sold OUTSIDE of Ohio, you'd total in the hundreds...a couple thousand at the VERY most.

Meh, I'll just quote RGB: "I don't believe the regional economy has as much to do with the price of the Maxx Pass as the availability of parks from which to choose." ;)

I would think they'd sell a lot of the Maxx Plus passes in Southern California.

^Not just a Knott's/Soak City combo pass?

Then again, Knott's doesn't seem to have Maxx passes or anything LIKE that right now on their webpage, right now, and everything looks haunted just trying to get IN to their regular park site from the Haunt event info, LOL. I checked 'cause that's where I get my CF passes. ;) http://www.knotts.com/park/guest/ticket.shtml

Meanwhile, CP has the season pass stuff like they should....but there seems to be a bug in the code. Upon further review, looks like a typo in the name of a file. :)http://www.knotts.com/park/guest/ticket.shtml

I'd better go pack, I'm getting goofy here...
