Cedar Fair Announcements?

Is it just me or is the parrot on the right side of that Paradise Falls artwork defecating on the waterslide?

I do however remember you talking about the old aquatic show arena???

Yes Moosh, it is - you should see the model of it that they have at IAAPA. They also have aerial renderings of it at the White Water booth.

Jive, earlier this summer the plan was something quite different than it is now. OOF was to get their big thing in 2004, however things have been changed around a little. OOF actually has some competition in H20 fun in KC now. They are just reestablishing the fact they are #1.

As for "Area 51" - it was confirmed earlier that a ride would go there. That confirmation however has faded and it is hard to say anymore. It is quite possible that a ride may be moved there or one might be reinstalled - but nothing is confirmed right now.

MHammer, when can we view the Annual Report on Cedar Fair's website?

Doesn't Cedar Fair put out a press release sometime in December that says where all the money is going?

Probably the Annual Report will be put out whenever Cedar Point decides to announce the new attraction. When they announce CP's new coaster then they will probably also mention what and how much Michigan's Adventure, Knott's, Dorney, WOF etc. will get. Vallyfair's already been announced but they will probably mention it again.

Part of the fun in the off season is waiting for the announcement and guessing what the new attraction could be (rumors spread around) before it's announced.

The annual report is usually on the site a bit after it's mailed out. So maybe by the end of March? Who knows though, that's just how it was the last few years.

And CF is releasing info about '03 attractions oddly this year.

Steel Venom was very 'traditional', Dorney's sudden website update w/o any PR is just freaky, WOF mentioned their attraction long ago, then put up a drawing, then did a release a couple days later. They've said they're waiting on CP's on purpose, and Knott's is building something but has said nil.

All considered - I just don't know. They could release the individual park amount you crave so badly with the CP release, or just do a general one for all the parks. They've done both in the past.

Who knows! (not me)

Mike

CP's announcement will come when the ride is topped off I am told. I was not told the name, however.
