Cedar Fair Announcements?

Does anybody have an idea of when ANY Cedar Fair park will be announcing for 2003?

I think everything is said in the annual report. Anybody know when that comes out?

I'd say either next week or the week after.

:)

Valleyfair announced Steel Venom about a month ago.

Dorney Park is getting 10 new waterslides and their website is updated with the information.

Sorry, I forgot about Steel Venom.

I know Dorney is getting 10 waterslides but I want to know when the park (not the local newspaper as is with Dorney) will be announcing. I especially want to know how much money each park is spending.

I'm sure they'll include the annoucements of the smaller stuff (i.e. everything at DP, WOF, MiAdv) in the corporate release for the Cedar Point ride.

And if not, they'll still probably release something next month. I wouldn't expect it any sooner than December.

Those are just guesses though, a fact is that the annual report doesn't hit the mail till March, usually right in the middle of the month.

Dorney did officially announce it... its on their website. It has pictures, names, and descriptions of the new slides.

WOF has done the same as Dorney with regards to the info on their web page:

http://www.worldsoffun.com/public/trips/tickets/holiday_tickets.cfm

That is directly to the page w/the "we wish" picture of their attraction for OOF for next year.

Is it just me or is the parrot on the right side of that Paradise Falls artwork defecating on the waterslide?

So is that it for WOF, or will they add a flat?

Does anyone actually go to OOF anymore?

How cool is that name!!!

Paradise Falls! - Its so poetic, thoughtful , Its awesome.

Like the theme should be angels and devils or something like that.

I prefer the pears in the heavy syrup. They're just good.

I'm guessing WOF will add a flat ride of some sorts this year.

No MiA yet. I don't know when they'll ever announce. What is it with CF and announcing so late? It ruins the whole off-season aspect. Off-season is when you wonder how those new attractions are gonna be!

Knotts is building something this year to replace the Petting Zoo, Animal Show stage, pony ride, and red baron, and area about 1/2 the size of perilous plunge, more or less depending on if the stagecoach is diverted at all. It will not be a kiddie coaster (confirmed by a newspaper), probably a dark ride, flat rides, or a play area of some sort (KBF lacks this when compared to like Disneyland or Legoland). They will announce it by the end of december most likely incase its big and they want to advertise it on the calendar.

WOF is getting a new AMBAM (employee break room), they are restructuring Triple Dip (ice cream store). They are also removing Summer Spectacular and the old employee break room that was up by Camp Snoopy. There is no word that there will NOT be an attraction at WOF for next season. 2004 will be a big year at the park though.

As for your question about OOF, yes the parking lot is consitantly full throughout the summer and every weekend the overflow area has to be used. So to answer your question, yes it still pulls in quite a large crowd. That's why WOF/OOF are in no hurry to combine the two parks.

I knew I could count on some info from Swoosh. That summer spectacular area would be perfect for an Inverted or Floorless coaster and if getting an awesome coaster next year means getting jack squat this year then I'll take the jake squat with a smile.

I do however remember you talking about the old aquatic show arena???
