Cb Games Uploading problem...

I seem to get a "server/time out" problem whenever I try to upload saved games files. I have been able to upload them in the past but can someone help me figure out why I am having this problem? It could be due to the fact that I'm on dial up(it seems to take longer uploading saved games and then just times out) Let me know if there is a way to fix this or if I'm doomed to only uploading track files haha. Thank you for your help.

I don't know what to tell you. I've got the timeout set enormously high. Are you actually getting a message that says "timeout?" Also, the combined size of your file and screenshot can't be more than 4mb. If it is, I strongly suggest converting the screenshot into a JPEG first.

I know you don't want to hear it, but I can't upload saved games either.

Tracks are just fine.

I've been trying to upload my version of Adventure Islands for weeks now :(

It is an actual timeout error message. For the record the file is only 1.2MB.

I have another saved game that I'm going to upload one of these days that's sitting in between 600kb and 700kb. I'm curious as to whether it will upload or not. It'll give me a better idea of where the cutoff point is for what works and what don't.

Just passing along additional info in an attempt to help.

Hey, I wanted to let you know that it works. Most likey it was more of a problem on my end than on yours because the ratio of people that are having problems verses the people that are not seem to be far less. Anyways I was able to upload a saved game and it worked out fine. Since this is a "suggestion" part of the forum have you ever thought of allowing zip files instead of the direct game formats. It seems like it might take up less space because zip files are smaller. Not a big deal but just a suggestion. Thanks for your help.

The thing is it used to work just fine, Jeff. It was right after you asked for that info on file sizes (a while back) that it changed for me.

I know you were considering file and time limits, so if you made those changes, there's something there that my connection really disliked.

I'll have to try Adventure Islands again.

EDIT - Adventure Islands worked. So the 10 minute timeout helped :) Thanks!

Ok, then that's really weird. I have honestly tried to upload that file about 10 times since I finished it.

Last night was the first time it went through without the timeout error.

Then maybe some of the others having problems should give it another try - it might work.

Yeah everything is working fine for me and again thanks for fixing it. I'm not sure what did it for me in the first place but I noticed after the forums were down for a little while after they came back up I was having the problems. before that the only file types I ever submitted were saved games weird. Either way thanks for the help!

I've never had a single problem uploading, everything goes straight up in a few seconds......just like when i'm at the beach :)

I don't know what's happening but I'm still having problems. I just recently upgraded to AOL 9.0 . Could that be a problem.Please only answer if you think it could be and not because you don't like AOL.

Well I did get one park to load after going back to 8.0
but not another. Any suggestions,besides the obvious. This is the only place I post parks now(great exposure). I don't even offer them up at altrct anymore.

I wouldn't suggest using a Beta release of AOL, even if it is a release candidate. A final release of AOL is bad enough. ;)
