CB Games "New" Column?

kpjb's avatar

How difficult would it be to add a column to the download pages of CBGames that would indicate if a file was uploaded since your last visit? Sort-of like the "YES!" column in the forums. There could be a "mark uploads viewed" or something like that to reset it.

I assume the setup of that site is essentially the same as the forums, so it doesn't seem like it would be too involved. I often forget where I left off until I've opened a few files, and this would save me valuable seconds each day.

Why are there even the "Yes!"'s? Is there also a "NO!"?

Yes, "NO"s show up in that column. If you would actually explore the features of this forum instead of spamming it, you could learn how to do alot.

I've also got a suggestion that relates to this.

Would sorting by author, file name, downloads, or rating be too much of a hassle? I'm taking a guess, but in in the next few months there will mostlikely be well over 2,000 tracks. If I have a favorite author, it would be much easier to find tracks from them by clicking a link that would sort it by author rather than going through countless pages of tracks. It would also be easier to find the best rated coasters, even if they aren't in the top 10.

Cnet.com has something very similar to this, and it works great for my uses. Sometimes I find programs or files that are years old that would have taken me months to find if they didn't have the sorting system they do.

You can see the complete list of a member's tracks by clicking their name in the download list or on their name in the file detail.
