What sparked this, is noticing that there were only 3 uploads in the top 10 and most uploads usually get no more than like 3-4 votes.

If it dies it dies. If you want me to care, it's not going to happen. I personally don't get anything out of the site, and I never did. It was just an experiment for an entirely different project. However I won't let it exist just to be overrun by little punks who post in chat shorthand and flame each other to death. Not on my dime.

Lyrically, I'm supposed to represent
I'm not only a client, I'm the playa president!

I'm not too concerned either way and do what you need to do... Either way I'm done with it.
So why did you even bother bringing it up again?

Just an idea.
I do wish however, that some of those who have signed up would participate more, like Omar who used to be ubiquitous on CB but now hardly ever drops a comment.
Also, while things have slowed greatly on the "upload" end, there are still tons of people who come to the site to download. I am in no way bragging about my park, but the fact that it got 150 downloads in a few days is a testament to how many people come to the site to check out the rides. I'm getting more downloads now than I ever did before, so I disagree that the site is dying. It's just becoming something different from what it used to be.
There are some sites where only a few "experts" that have ties to the site webmaster (or whatever) upload. This is becoming sort of like that, except any chump with $20 can become an "expert" and get some instant exposure instead of being lost in the crowd.
In addition, you can look at a site like coasters2k where anyone can rate or comment, and the most popular files have only like 16 votes but hundreds of downloads. The average file gets about 2 or 3 votes before disappearing into oblivion. There is less feedback there than here, even with a special forum for advertising rides.
I admit that I was a little apprehensive about the change for the first week or so, but now I feel that my $20 was well spent.
