^ We did a lap on the mine ride with the lap bars locked in the up position. The ride-ops never came by to check. Made for an interesting ride.
Before you can be older and wiser you first have to be young and stupid.
Wow. That doesn't sound like the kind of safety culture that is burned into a CF ride op's head at all. Did you tell someone, Dave?
I don't understand why the park would need any kind of transport ride to get people from one side of the park to the other. Carowinds seems really small.
^LostKause, Carowinds actually had a cable skyway at one time, and the park was much smaller than it is now.
I would love to see a return of the cable skyway to Carowinds. From what I understand, Carowinds got rid of theirs the same reason many parks did in the 80's. Evacuation problems in case of power failure.

Obviously, this decision was based on state laws regarding such situations, or individual park management at that time.
Carowinds is already "Teasing" us about the announcement later this month:

I sure hope 2011 gets more than a Starlight Spectacular. Throw the waterpark some love and get a new slide tower or water coaster or something to help cut down on lines!
My balnket statment of the month...
All water parks should expand, to help with the long line issue.
And they should all have Tornados and Bowl slides.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
....Action rivers and "transportainment"... ;)

How ironic...I usually don't have a long line until I expand :)
Yeah, too bad it's for the nearest exit, though! :)

"If passion drives you, let reason hold the reins." --- Benjamin Franklin
Good one, Carrie. I certainly had that coming for all the recent teasing :)
Is that what he said?
Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
