Barring that, let's see. What operating system are you running?

If you can't get either to install, I'm willing to bet your system doesn't meet the installation requirements.
Good luck with RCT3 (It won't be long before you go back to RCT2 out of frustration)!

I'll just hold onto my copy until we get a new PC(if we ever do) & continue playing RCT2 for the time being.
Well id first off like to give a hi-di-do ho to everyone even though it seems im a newbie i've been a very avid vistor to reading the forums and the the site for the past few years now I just never had a urge to join up. But im glad I finally have :)
But this is pretty funny I myself just got RCT3 for X-mas yesterday, and boy howdy was I also stressen out. I had the same problem Coasterjoni had. I was able to install the game perfectly and then the windows says im not able to play cause of the video card,(direct X) imo, it never gave me the opition as well to install it even when it does say it in the manual. And the thing is I know my computer is capable of running it because we just got a amazing new computer as a gift as well so i was totally baffled. I know for a fact this computer has all the requirments to play the game so Im gonna try and download Direct X9 cross my fingers and see what happens.
What you will want to do in order to find your computer's video/graphic card:
Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, and then Display. On the "Settings" tab, click advanced. The next dialog will pop-up, and now click "Adapter." Copy the information that appears in the "Adapter Information" in your reply so we can figure out what exactly you've got (or don't) under the hood.
EDIT: I assume you are using XP normal view, as apposed to XP Classic view, in which case the above directions may be a little off. Either way, navigate to the Display Options to find out what you have.
