Cameras for 2003!

I wanna know what still and/or video camera you're toting along to your theme park excursions this year! I will be bringing my shiny new Canon S30 this year. 3 MP goodness (yum!).

I'm bringing my new JVC GR-DVL5120u MiniDV cam. I'll finally get to start using it next weekend (BGT here I come!). :)

Canon Powershot G3, or, if you've been to my site (judging from the traffic, you haven't), 'God-Cam.' See the So-Cal parks for the shots (they'd be from 2003.)

Best part is that it doubles as a video camera (in a midsized still digi-cam body). The quality isn't bad (320x240 @ 15 FPS for 3 minutes maximum), and I probably would have that quality for web-downloading anyway.

The Canon PowerShot S200. I love the size of this thing. Small enough to take on any coaster.

I've been to your site...many times. You should advertise more, submit news to CB, SixFlagsNews, and Screamscape when you post large updates.

1.) You never told me you got a DV.
2.) You never told me you're going to FL.

My new Finepix 2800 should do me great. 250 dollars for such an awesome camera. What a deal.

Heh, yep, leaving for Florida next Sunday, and thanks to my buddy Josh Wozny, I now have a MiniDV cam! :)

Looking at a few Canon DV cams right now, also looking to upgrade to a high end digicam or even a DSLR.

I've got my Canon Elura 2MC for off ride video, Sony CSS- CS13V for POV's (in conjunction with the Elura). For stills I'll be shooting with my Canon Powershot G2, I've got a polarizer for it and I'm in the process of buying a wide angle lense as well. And if anyone doesnt know, all of my work goes to www.americacoasters.com :)

I have been using my brand new Canon S230...such a great overall camera. The best part is it is small enough to fit in my pockets all day long so I don't have to rent a locker or carry it by hand.

Kodak LS-420, its a great camera that no one has. I have around 200 pictures from a lot of parks that i'm probably gonna put on a site soon.

If I just do stills, Canon Powershot S45.

For filming and stills, Canon Optura 100MC.

Good to see so many people using Canons! ;)

I'll continue to bust out my Canon S30... I'll be visiting a ton of parks in the midwest this year, so that should be fun.

My new Canon IXUS V3 (S230 for those "Americans" out there). Didn't have the money to spend on a really decent camera (ie EOS 1-Ds), because I wasn't planning on my old camera being stolen at a waterpark in January. :)

No video camera at this stage, but I've got some screenplays that are dying to be converted to film, so depending on how good business is this year, I'll get a Canon XL-1S(e). It'll for sure accompany me on my "extended" California ski/coast/culture trip that I'm doing later this year.

My Olympus C-3040 will probably see the most service. I'll still wish for bigger posckets in most of my pants though since it's a little large for pocketing.

If I'm getting serious about photography and not worrying about riding, I'll break out one of my old Canon FD series SLRs and use it.

I'm using the exact same camera, Jim, and love it. I agree that it's a bit large for pockets, but it fits just fine in my waist bag or a jacket pocket.

This will be camera's the third season. I think that's a personal record for a digital camera :) (Previous cameras have included a first-generation HP Photosmart, Olympus D240L (I still have that one), Fuji 1400 (loaner), Kodak DC4800 (stolen :( ), and now this Olympus 3040)

Anything on my coaster site after the construction of Phantom's Revenge (which was taken with a combination of the Olympus 340, Fuji 1400 AND Kodak 4800) is from this camera, such as Europe 2002, Knott's Coaster Solace 2003 and Magic Mountain.

I'll be taking along my 2002 camera, a lovely Canon PowerShot S30. That camera never failed on me before, so I've got her warmed up and ready to go. Only 20 days and counting! :)

I just got for Christmas the fuji fine pix 2650 and I have to say it is my favorite camera I have ever used. It is digital and it has 2.0 mega pixels. It has both picture and video capabiltiys. It could film 80 seconds of a rollercoaster. And it is only $199. It is so easy to use I cant wait till SFGAm opens to take pictures.

Good to hear the camera I spent so much on should survive at the parks.
