Well, actually, there is no "ee". Phonetically, it is pronounced "Or-gun".

Lived in Bend and Portland for over 30 years, and we made fun of folks who couldn't get it right.

Ahhh, Joan. Lives right across the river near Vancouver and has no idea how to pronounce it. DId anyone else hear her try to get the train conductor at Silverwood to not talk? Priceless...

And she disparaged Silverwood's above par magic show. I doubt she ever saw it.:)

When she came to pick up her registration packet she said, "I'm Joan."

Dave said in a friendly manner, "Ah, you must mean Joan Burleigh?"

She replied, "Whatever you say."

Dave asked: "Well is that your last name?"

She replied, "Yeah, sure, whatever," and then she immediately complained about the cost of the event registration.

As she walked away I turned to Dave and said, "Freak, party of one: your table is ready!"

LOL...she will NEVER, EVER be at a CDM event again.

Sprig, thanks....the second pic is perfect. Jimvy *will* be directed to that photo. Since he gets assorted crappy Scottish food I like to torture him with our American-style chow... ;)

I thought there were three syllables in OR-uh-gun... :)

Still, even with Joan, out of 61 people, there WAS only the one....and she DID make for an interesting topic of conversation... LOL!
