Bug?

Hey Jeff,

When I responded to this thread, my response appeared at the top. I noticed that the second person to post was also placed before the original post (which is actually the 3rd one down for me).

That's really weird.

I'd like to thank the academy , and my mom , and my fans,and.....oh forget it , I hate you all.

That happened to me once too. That sure makes it look funny though.

The server adjusted its time, and it would appear to have drifted several minutes. I gotta check if there's some way to make the time sync more frequent, because once every week or two weeks (or whatever it does) is too long. I'm guessing the hardware is cheap or the power isn't as clean as they'd like, thus the poor time keeping.

So not a bug, just the operating system syncing its time with the USNO.

Classic, with 4 AA batteries and black-and-white screen that has columns of pixels that don't work. ;)

You lucked out and got a classic gameboy that actually had black and white? My classic gameboy was a strange shade of orangish-greyish-yellow with blackish-grey pixels.

I've still got tetris and my original 10 year old gameoy classic.

My dad paid £100 for a gameboy back in the day! rofl

Mine was the weird green too. I bought it the week it came out, was working at an Ames department store at the time. Used my 5% discount on the $150 unit... a steep price for a 16-year old kid at the time.

Steph and I bought WarioWare for GBA today... how things have changed.

I have the original Gameboy floating around somewhere. Of course, pick a game system, and odds are better than even that I have it "floating around". The big exceptions are the 3D0 and CD-I...

Someone at my Dad's old lab built a portable video game that played "Breakout" back in 1979. It was about the size of two of the classic gameboys. Pretty amazing given the time.

Anyhow, that's interesting about the time creep. I think my wind-up watch keeps better time. The lag must have been pretty substantial since two people were able to read the post, and then compose a reply.

PC's suck for keeping time, and if you have dirty power (which I wouldn't think my host would), it's even worse.

Ditto for me. Everything from the NES to XBox and Game Cube are floating around my house... somewhere. Even a 3DO, one of the Panasonic originals. Bought it when I was 16- I was THRILLED when the price dropped from $700 to $500... what a bargain, I thought!

To this day, Road Rash (3DO) remains one of my all-time favorite games.
