Brakes on Mantis??!?

The trims on Mantis are barely noticeable except for the noise they make. If only the same thing could be said for another certain coaster at CP with trims on the first drop!

I remember riding Mantis pre-trims, and I came close to blacking out during the 1st loop almost every single time! I hated it back then, of course, but today I love it when a coaster does that to me.

HARDLY."

Right on. I stand by my opinion that people who generally quote trims as being any kind of factor in a ride are just trying to impress somebody with what they think is great wisdom and knowledge.

As someone mentioned, the hang-time in the loop and the diving loop is pretty cool, especially toward the middle of the train. It also means trims at the mid-course are much lighter.

I've never found either of the two B&M stand-ups I've been on (Mantis and Iron Wolf) to be rough in a tracking sense, though Iron Wolf does tend to have very quick transitions.
