Some of the cast members of the popular 1970's show The Brady Bunch will be returning to Kings Island amusement park in May to mark the 40th anniversary of a classic episode. The amusement part announced today that Barry Williams (Greg Brady), Christopher Knight (Peter Brady) and Susan Olsen (Cindy Brady) will be at Kings Island on May 19th.

Both the Hawaii and Grand Canyon episodes are three-parters.
Not sure if there's any others off the top of my head.
"Damn you Tiki idol!"
Robot Chicken managed to pack Mr. & Mrs. Smith and pretty much every Brady episode into 2 minutes of ridiculous claymation insanity:
Barry used to post on this site from time to time, although I don't recall anything recently. He seemed really nice.
I loved the Brady Bunch. I loved that episode, too, and have seen it a million times. And if I were in the area I might just stop by to see the cast...especially if they get them to run through the park in the slightly reckless and very unrealistic way they did in the episode. :-)
And what are you guys talking about, milking something 40 years later? Why wouldn't they be doing that? If I could still get paid just for doing an appearance 40 years after a job that I did... I would totally do it.
I hope they still get gigs like that when they're all hobbling around in walkers. More power to them and to the people who want to see them, I say!

"Nobody ever listens to me, " THAT I got!

And incidentally, you made the same frowny face the yellow traffic light is making. ;-)

I read the "Growing Up Brady" book back in the '90s sometime and there was a cool story about the Kings Island shoot.
For the Racer scene they loaded them up on the train with the camera mounted on front. Robert Reed asked if they'd tested the camera mount and they said not to worry about it. Reed got pissed and insisted on a test run or he wouldn't do it. So they unloaded everyone and did a test run. Apparently the train returned with the camera missing or flopping around on a broken mount and Reed deservedly threw another fit!
I remember the Brady Bunch episode at Kings Island (I saw it on Nick at Night when I was like 11)....they don't show much of the park, but I remember all the siblings riding in some kind of self-propelled canoe ride along a fake river. Did that used to be a thing at KI?
Those canoes weren't self propelled, as I recall they were long, multi -passenger things and there may have been a guide in there with the riders. I think they were in the water that The Beast station was eventually built over.
The canoes are where they found Mr. Brady's sketches!! Um...er...I mean, I think so, anyway. I don't really know for sure. ;-)

The canoes were were the Beast was built. I used to have an old park map made before Beast was built.

And I bet people complained about the canoes being removed for another big ride...and threatened to boycott the park...and complained about the park getting rid of all it's charm...
Face it, it's been all downhill at KI since 1979.
I was going to post something similar to Ohiostater's above post, but I had a hard time keeping it that simple.
And sws, even though your comment was hilarious, you could be absolutely right. Isn't it possible that the park was receiving complaints that the line for the canoes was much too long? Parks get rid of low capacity attractions and replace them with high capacity attractions all the time.
I hope I didn't make someone so mad with this post that they don't ever talk to me again. lol

I love that episode and have seen it many times over the years. I've always liked the Bradys but not enough to go through large crowds to meet the actors. I think it's great that they are still capitalizing on their Brady days. If it helps pay the bills then the more power to them!
The PopUp Video version of the KI episode is fun, too. Imagine the Bradys line-jumping! ;)
