Brady Bunch cast members returning to Kings Island

Posted | Contributed by VitaminsAndGravy

Some of the cast members of the popular 1970's show The Brady Bunch will be returning to Kings Island amusement park in May to mark the 40th anniversary of a classic episode. The amusement part announced today that Barry Williams (Greg Brady), Christopher Knight (Peter Brady) and Susan Olsen (Cindy Brady) will be at Kings Island on May 19th.

Heh.

I used to watch the show occasionally, and have read about that episode over the years, but don't believe I ever saw it.

I haven't either, but I must have seen the Hawaii episode a dozen times.

I've only seen the intire episode online, never on TV. Good times.

I think I have seen every episode of the Brady Bunch - on TV - multiple times as a kid (in reruns though)...If I lived in the area, I'd go, but I don't...

Like Redman, I watched reruns of the show a lot when I was a kid, and have seen this particular episode many times. Even before my very first visit to Kings Island when I was a kid, I was somewhat familiar with the park because of it. While it might be kind of fun to see the Brady Bunch actors, it's probably going to be way too busy for me to attend that day.

the show is still on here on Hallmark channel and they have shown that episode 3 times in the past month.

WKRC? shouldn't it be WKRP! lmfao

I can't even begin to think of how many things I'd rather do than see the former Brady kid actors all grown up. I'm not even sure I could muster up enough enthusiasm if they were coming to my house to visit me personally.

Nothing against them, I'm sure they're nice people.

I'd love to see them :) But I've seen some of my favorite celebrities, so it's not really a big deal anymore. I grew up watching Brady Bunch, so that curiosity is always there. I have seen them on youtube interviews, etc., I like stuff like that. Wasn't the Kings Island a double episode? Kinda like the Hawaii and Ghost episodes? Good times!

Vater said what I was thinking. I guess it makes me uncomfortable that you would want to be milking something from 40 years ago, culturally iconic or otherwise.

Yeah, talk about milking. Next week, I'm helping a bud out by working his table at the Chiller Theatre Toy, Model, and Memorabilia Convention. There's tons of "Celebrity" guests, most of whom are known to only a relatively small "niche" audience. But they charge $25 minimum for an autograph and more for a posed photo. There's several people there I'd be interested to see...two Monkees, Rocky Horror cast members, Dick Manitoba..but I wouldn't pay that for an autograph from anyone (except maybe Gonch.) Several Brady cast members have appeared in the past. Heck, Larry Wilcox will be there!! Guess Erik was busy...

Good. Because that's the going rate.

Well, I said MAYBE.

Wow, I've seen that episode before. I always knew that it was filmed at Kings Island and can still picture the dad taking the family because he was delivering some blue prints. However, I never realized that the episode first aired on the day that I was born. May 19 will be my fortieth birthday. That should be my birthday trip but I don't think that I'll make it.

There is obviously a market for the Brady kids (returning to KI or anywhere) and their autographs. /Steps back into normal Billy mode.

I didn't know it was possible to grow up between the mid-60's and the mid-90's and not know every episode of The Brady Bunch pretty much by heart.

Nope. It's a single episode and we can all enjoy it right here.

Brady Trivia - what was the name of their cousin that they brought in when the series was nearing its end?

When you visit CP, visit my mill. est. 1835

Oliver.

I hope Barry Williams is nicer than he was in 1973.

I think the Partridge Family KI episode was over two nights.

gamerguy- WKRC was the Cincinnati radio and tv station long before the 70's tv show (where we first got to know Lonnie Anderson) took and altered their name.

I have a Gonch autograph I'm willing to let go for cheap.

Well crap! I was sure that the Kings Island thing was two episodes. So did The Brady Bunch ever have any other two-parters except for when they went to Hawaii?

And did anyone here ever see the two Brady bunch movies? I enjoyed them both very much. Hilarious!
