Boardwalk Bullet

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7DNkENpzHw

Video someone shot from the front seat on opening day.

It appears the neighbors are already complaining about the noise (I tried to submit this article in news but it wouldn't work for some reason): http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/tx/5103836.html

Another article about the noise complaints...

That is REALLY close to those houses.

Ooops, I just submited that video to news. The coaster is right in their backyards.

The neighbors aren't necessarily complaining about the noise...the local news is going out of their way to go talk to them because the coaster is so close.

They did a similar story before the ride opened, and now have gone back to update the story since the ride has opened.

As of Monday there had been no official complaints made about the noise.

Are they vacation homes or full time residences? I don't know much about the area, I only heard about the place cause of the coaster.

The house they are making the big deal out of which is right next to the coaster is a weekend home which isn't even used every weekend. They were however there this past weekend.

One of the homes across the street is a full time residence...but they bought the house in the last 2 years well aware of Kemah Boardwalk being there. The other family that is now right next to the coaster had built their house before Kemah Boardwalk existed.

More rich 'northshore' types complaining about anything....

So box it in, put up some walls or even better, tunnels, like Balder and Ghost Rider.

See...the thing is...the neighbors are NOT complaining. The news is the one bugging them for these stories. A neighbor that knows them said they haven't complained, they don't like the coaster being there, but they aren't moving and will live with it. The news reporters have been the ones beating down the door for a story. A story which has gone national now.
