B&M's without a midcourse brake...

Top Gun at PGA has brakes right before the corkscrew, there not that noticable though...

The new Superman does have brakes near the end of the ride

They're talking about midcourse brakes, not trims.

Could someone explain the difference between mid-course brakes and trim brakes?

If at first you don't succeed... skydiving isn't for you

Trims are only to slow the train down. Mid course or block brakes will actually stop it if the next block isn't clear.

Do the B&M fliers have mid courses I don't remember one on superman at sfog.

Don't forget Nemesis and Air. Also Oblivion kind of doesn't although thats a bit different. Does Inferno have one?

-----------------
This Season:
Flights on Air: 8 - Escapes From Nemesis: 9
Drops into Oblivion: 3 - Spins On Maelstrom: 2
Drops on Apocalypse, Sit-Down: 1, Stand-Up: 1, Stand-Up Floorless: 5 - Survival on Shockwave: 1

No, Inferno has no brake run. It pretty much goes straight from the Zero-G to the Interlocking corkscrews then goes to the station.
Top Gun: The Jet Coaster @ Paramount's Carowinds doesnt have a MCBR. Its a great ride too, the forgotten B&M. One of 2 invert's w/ a Batwing (the other one being Montu), one of few inverts with a bunny hop, great upward, high speed helix, and great speed and pacing through-out!

There is actually one singular mid-course brake on AIR, its after the corkscrew on the shallow drop toward the helix. Its interesting cause it doesn't use the usual flat section associated with these brakes, hence its easily missed.

DorneyDante- Raptor does not have a bat wing, it has ( in order) Vertical Loop, ZeroG roll, Cobra Roll, and 2 Flat Spins. this is batwing-

Raptor has a cobra roll, and two wing overs, but no batwing.

You must be this dumb to ride Viper. -SFGAdv.

Raptor has a Cobra Roll Not a Batwing in B&M terms...

What i find intresting is only one B&M that opened last year had a midcourse and that was silverstar. Air, Superman: Ultimate Escape, Crazy Flying Coaster, Batman: The Ride, Batman: The Pursuit, Superman: Ride Of Steel and Batman: Dark Knight also all opened lasy year but dident feature one.

colin mcwilliam, that is a trim brake on air and not a MCBR. there is also another trim brake in the small tunnel just after the second half flip as well.

a trim brake is there to reduce the speed of the train by a couple of mph (if they are turned on, the ones on air arent). a MCBR must be able to stop the train if it needs to, and it must be able to complete the course from a standing still on the MCBR. hope that helps!

Air and S:UF only have brakes at the end of the ride and trims on the first drop

Superman Atraccion de Acero looks like the best ride ever. That is the coaster I want to ride the most besides X and Top thrill Dragster but every one wants to ride those. It looks like a perfect ride Big drop vertical Loop, Dive loop or something i forgot, zero g roll ,Coabra Roll ,Large bunny hill then Interloking Corkscrews perfect ride plus its smooth cause its a B+M. I also Cant wait to Ride SM:UF that also has no midcourse breaks.

-----------------
22 diffrent coasters ridden this year

Nemises Inferno doesnt have a MCBR.

-----------------

Nemesis and Oblivion at Alton Towers don't have any, and that is because John Wardley is against brake runs on all of his rides.
vertigo, air does not have a trim on its first drop, but it does have 2 trims further round the circuit. however, these trims have never be turned on, and i should think that as long as the ride is under the management of tussuads, they wont be turned on unless the ride encounters some problems later in its life.
