B&M project Calypso

The inverted coaster through the station has been done before, in a much more dramatic element than what this sounds like. The coaster is either called Metro or Tornado. It's an Intamin inverted with a vertical loop, cobra roll, heart-line twist through the station, a helix, and another heart-line twist.

Badnitrus has an animation of it, and the inversion though the station is tight! picture Volcano's roll inversions through a station. The clearance on that inversion is really tight. It looks like an awesome ride.

Sept. 11th 2001, Slayer released God Hates Us All. The song "Disciple" uncannily describes the events of that day, as well as the anthrax letters that followed.

Looking at rcdb, of the two tornado intamin inverted neither have what you describe. One has an underground station, and there's an aerial picture of the other which clearly shows its layout. Intamin has not made an inverted called Metro. Do you know more about this supposed coaster?

If you don't have it, get the Screamin' Serpent.

...ahh, but coasterjedi, that's the beauty of the Dragons!  The head-on vertical loops and the interlocked wingovers are really not much unless you're in the front row, and even then the duel is VERY short-lived.  BUT, look at how many people stand around just to watch the ballet (pardon my language, LOL).  Cool for them, it really is beautiful to just WATCH dueling coasters...take a hint, BGT!  (note: there used to be a LOT of people just watching Gwazi from various points, not so much now).  Cool for us, 'cause at least those folks aren't in line....

Florida needs an Intamin and/or CCI soon...PLEASE!

ApolloAndy: Metro was renamed to Tornado. The underground station is the one. There's a zero g roll that drives through it! http://badnitrus.coasterbuzz.com/view.asp?id=17&which2View=coaster&pic=7

Another B&M for me to ride! :) Darned Europeans... we thought they weren't so great for coaster count--lookie now! Glad to see more coasters being built!

Look again, this RCDb pic was taken from inside the station. Check out one of Badnitrus' videos. Here's the construction pics, including the station roll.

I wonder if Calypso will have trenches & tunnels a la Montu & Nemesis.

Will Thorpe re-name the ride? If so what is it themed to?

I'm betting it will, since Thorpe has a height restriction of 100 feet. Plus it's Tussads!
