I always liked the fact that B&M never had a website. It added a touch of extra mythos to their reputation and set them apart from the shameless Intamin crew, who nowadays sell their used seats and other trash memorabilia online.
Wally and Mabs are the popstars in the tiny world of Coaster fabricators and afficionados. No one really knows where they came from, its all legend and rumours.
I am actually a bit disappointed that they donĀ“t refuse to be photographed and that they lower themselves to talk to the press. I bet that they all have private jets full of supermodels, excuisite drugs and that they invite people like Werner "Spector" Stengel and Fabio to fly around the world to visit coaster-openings (the kind of extravaganza we never see anything about on media-day).
I know that isn't the only case. It is just a protection of your company name so that, in case they do decide to do more with a website later, they have the option, and won't have to go to court cause some coaster enthusiast in Timbucktu registered www.bolliger-mabilliard.com to put up a fansite.
...Once you're in, I don't think there's any way out.
Haven't yet decided if that's a good or a bad thing though.. :)
