B&M hyper twister.....

Jeremy:  I like you idea for a B&M steel  Lightning Racer.  It wouldn't only be a sweet ride, it would also be beautiful to look at.  I don't think that SROS is as repetitious as you do.  Some elements are there twice, but only the bunnies are a trio, but that's how bunnies work best.

Have you ridden the front of Phoenix?  Definitely the best seat in the house.

ThemeParkBigShot - When it comes to custom designs basically a park puts the word out that they want to build a coaster.  The say where in the park they want it built and what type of coaster they want [inverted, wood, floorless, etc] and perhaps some specifics such as height or speed [especially if they're trying to set a record].  Those manufacturers that are interested come up with a design and bid on the project.  The company with the best bid and design wins.

Cedar Point passed on B&M's bid and chose Intamin for MF.  CCI passed [wisely?] on submitting a bid for PKI's 2000 woodie and RCCA ended up building SOB.  SFMM passed on Arrow's Pipeline and chose STE from Intamin.

While I could be wrong the decision to put in a clone [Boomerang, SLC, etc] is alot simpler.  The designs and costs are already known.

So will a park get a Giga-twister?  Perhaps.

I know Raven, but he made it sound like there was a space limitation...which great adventure of all places has none!!

From what I understand, B&M passed on Cedar Point's offer, not the other way around.  Admittedly, though, I could be wrong.

SGRho: Nah, never heard of the 'apes'. Who are they?

Jim F: Never been to Knoebel's. Only first heard of it 2 years ago and it was just a little *too* far off the beaten path for me to feel comfortable. Maybe this year! (though NOT for pppp)

jeremy, seriously, our first PPPP and SRM were last year, and they are events you MUST attend at least once.  SRM is a little different "environment" being in Indiana and all, but PPPP is a great way to check out some of the hardest working ride-ops on the planet.  Trains dispatch so fast, they're like a blur going through the station... Interestingly, I bet Legend will look similar now that it has 2 trains..not that they slacked off in any way at SRM...

PPP is great.  I went last year and had the best time.  I can't wait for SRM.

Been to SRM, it was a HUGE stretch for me to go but I liked it well enough.

But NOPE, not going to PPPP. From all the reports I've heard, it's just a little to "wild" for my tastes. I'd be looking over my shoulder all night. No thanks. I'll pass. I'll see Twister another day...(oh and I *might* ride Phoenix once for the count :))

Besides, if we were really shutting down people we disagreed with, would Jeremy (2Hostyl) still be around? :) I think not. - Jeff 1/24/02

Jeremy:
I thought you were an Alpha for some reason. I guess my "RHO-dar" is getting bad.
Interesting... I used to want to be one. But somewhere in my 2 or 3rd year of college, I no longer saw the sense of a big group of guys whupping my*****then turning around and calling me "brother". It just didnt sit well with me.

But of course "No Black Greek Letter Organization condones nor allows the illegal practice of hazing." :)

Still, every now and then I think about it...
