lived across the bay from USNA, the Army/Navy game is a big one....but let's face it, the teams aren't all that.....now the "real" rivalry, other than UF/UGa is the Auburn/Jawja matchup that's been an annual tradition since before even I can remember....
and while the "Twins" look good in their colors, and ran a WHOLE lot better this year, those G-trains are awful with all the laterals in the layout....they really are very cool, SO happy they run them together these days....
And since we're on the topic of coaster racing, and Chicago has just been mentioned, don't forget one of the other elders of racing coasters - SFGAm's American Eagle ! I like the red side usually, but this year it's the blue side, of course !
Oh yeah...GO CARDS !

For odd nicknames, don't forget the Kent State Golden Flashers...err, I mean Flashes. Figures they're just down the road from the Zips.

Coming to Wyandot Lake in 2003: Sea Dragon's Revenge
Hey Joe, I'll back you up on that one. In fact I was just reading this thread for the first time and I was going to state Cardinals (red) v. Cubs (blue), but ya beat me to it.
On the topic of wtf is that? What the hell is a Billiken? I'm from St. Louis, and I've seen the mascot thousands of times, yet I can never answer that question when asked. Some sort of blue devilish thing, it can spin a basketball on its finger though.
Finally on living right next to OSU. Growing up in StL, I never gave a ratt's butt about college football. I move here (actually Springfield for undergrad) and everyone was a Buckeye fan. It's nice to support your team, but some of these meat-heads get downright violent about it. I about got into a fight because I wore a St. Louis Blues jersey last year to one of the football games (wife's a student so we got tix). What gives about that? It has nothing to do with the football game at hand and there is no rivalry between the cities in hockey (the Bluejackets stink, give them about 10-15 years and then we'll talk). Just drunken fratboy b.s. that oozes from Lane Ave. on gameday. Nevertheless, I now own a Buckeye cap and am really anxious for this years OSU - Michegan game. Did I mention that I got tix! hehe
