Blizzard conditions predicted for SFA this Spring.

Blizzard conditions predicted for SFA this Spring.....

I just received this message in a snow globe from SFA.....

what could it mean????

------------------
never met a coaster I didn't ride (except Junior Geminii) :(

Sounds like their spinning rapids ride will get the "Blizzard River" theme.

It could just be a *snow job*, Sam...;) Peabody, as usual, is "spot on"....I guess he's taken over from the French Canadians, LOL....

BTW, what is to become of the rapids ride already AT the park...never seen it open, so we never rode it....nice to see ya, Sam!

Rumors are flying in Lebanon at PA about the big blizzard predicted in the Farmers Almanac in the beginning of Febuary. Some say it's gonna be as big as the blizzard of '96.

Emerging from the ashes of Eric 013...

I wonder if they will replace it. I actually rode it once and found it to be the least exciting rapids ride I have ridden.

Gator: Come on, man. I was really hurt and offended by that French onslaught before.... ;) ;)

That's an interesting but rather unusual name especially in regards to where the ride will be located.

From what I've heard the ride will be built somewhere behind renegade rapids, the name blizzard river is more suitable to a gotham city theme kinda like pequin's polar express located next to JJ.

Gator, about renegade rapids: the ride does operate,I rode it last year making that only the 2nd time so far & like Peabody stated earlier renegade rapids is the most boring pathetic excuse for a water ride in the entire park & I wouldn't mind seeing it go,I only rode it because Typhoon seacoaster was closed all day on that particular trip.

It's nice to see you back here Sam,any word on when we might expect the official announcement?

I just find anything snow related kind of funny in places where they don't get snow during the season. Of course, Disney did a whole water park on the theme, and snow is that last thing I'd think about in those circumstances.

I actually like Renegade Rapids because there's a chance you won't come off completley soaked, unlike some other white-water rapids rides which are just sadistic. And yes, it does operate, quite a bit in fact.

The last time that I rode Renegade Rapids it was early in the spring a couple years ago, and I felt like I'd been in a blizzard the rest of the day. Just couldn't get warm.

Is this going to be the first step in the rumoured future connection from Coyote Creek to Gotham City?

What are the chances it's a Mr. Freeze ride? ;)

Never thought of that! ;) Sadly, probably no chance.

e-mail me if you'd like a pic of the snow globe

According to screamscape SFAW's version will be called diablo falls.

Sam how about posting the snowglobe pic on the unofficial SFA site that you were running? or is that site no longer available? & I fan the last time I rode renegade rapids I managed to stay dry the entire ride.

It wouldn't surprise me if SFA got a foot of snow on April 12th. After the winter that we had.

BFSFA, you seem to have all the bad luck. I've gottten plenty soaked everytime I've ridden Renegade Rapids. What I haven't gotten is completely drenched like the white-water rapids ride at Dorney, which is nothing but waterfall after waterfall. And yes, I learned my lesson the hard way--always ride that ride in your swimsuit.

Dorney's rapids ride is just pure evil! I love it!

Cstrfrk - the chances are 0% that it's a Mr. Freeze shuttle.
