I didn't say it happen before I was sayign that more bad coverages for coasters in general! All over the news now, everytime one gets stuck or anything its on the news! I hope everyone in this accident will be ok!

As for 2 train derailments I was referring to Steel Dragon 2000.
Not to sound like the evil materialistic weasel of the group, but in other news, Al Queada is plotting to kill us all once again and their are multiple threats and terrorists on the loose. God, the world has gone to hell. This incident at Disneyland further proves that. Sheesh.
Let me get this straight. There were THREE derailments or breakaways in the past year? I can only think of two. Details please. Thanks.

-BTW, did anyone hear about the little boy that died at the Lake County Fair (around SF Ohio) by electrocution? ------------------
Well, I used to be able to see TTD from my house, then I moved.
Life's not fair.

ONE FATALITY...

That was a dead person! Holy ****!
There was some wheel falling off in the news section like two days ago I thought? It didn't happen at a major park, but its still a "derailment" involving a coaster. That and SD2K.

I guess the people on the ride must've been named "Riverboats." Holy Christ is Disney ******!
Steel Dragon 2000 derailed a few weeks ago and now this reported derailment! Thats all I know of!
NBC10 just announced 1 person dead

Let's all just calm down a bit. Disney is not immune from tragedy. Accidents happen and this looks to be a sad one but we don't need to make matters worse by running off at the mouth.

My thoughts are with the victims, their families and the ride operators and first responders.

saying 1 dead!! This sucks! My thoughts are with the family!

Yes, you're right. Worse things are in the news, like asteroid collisions and terrorists. Anyway, CNN has dubbed this story "Terror on the Tracks." Just thought you'd like 2 know.
Thank you wahoo skipper for setting the proper atmosphere.

We'll learn later what happened and how. For now, all we can do is support their family and friends as well as the other people involved.

Ditto wahoo skipper. A sad incident and my thoughts are with the bereaved/injured/involved.

Hopefully this thread will be sympathetic and feature less of the sensalionalist comments that have been appearing from some contributors so far.

Terror on the Tracks? And news organizations wonder why the public is not as trusting of them anymore. This pretty much sums it up.

There is terror in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and lots of other places.

Terror on the Tracks

And if that's not sleazy, I don't know what is.

1. We should raise the Terror Alert to CODE ORANGE!!

2. I have contacted Rep. Ed Markey to conduct a Congressional Inquiry into the matter.
