The Big Dipper wooden roller coaster, a staple at the defunct Geauga Lake amusement park since 1925, is on eBay with a starting bid of $9,500, and a "Buy It Now" price of $65,000. Tom Woosnam of Apex Western Machinery Movers in Akron made the one and only bid, but said he represented someone who wished to remain anonymous. Through Woosnam, the owner again declined to reveal himself or comment about the eBay auction, citing verbal attacks that coaster enthusiasts have made to him about his intent.

Wow. I bet if you got a collection of verbally assulting enthusiasts together...They'd be too busy trying to sop the gravy off their plates to actually hurt the guy.
This is so funny to just sit back and watch at this point.
The only way that makes sense is if the person is an influential member of the amusement industry.
It is also interesting to note that Cedar Fair is still at ease with the ride sitting on their property. Could it be someone high up CF?
I'm just thinkin'...
Funtime should hire this guy to do their Star Flyer PR. He clearly has his finger on the pulse of the enthusiast community.
You're all over looking the obvious....
the Lemon Chill guy is finally making his move to become a top player in the industry!

Unless they accidently sat on him.
Everyone knows he bought the ride with the sole intention of closing it down to remove the competition. Oh wait, that was Cedar Fair's plan with Geauga Lake. My bad.
Who dropped that can of worms overth...oh, wait.
How can anyone make verbal attacks to him about his intent if nobody knows who he is or what his intent is? All we know is it's somebody who kissed a girl on it.
