Crap. I forgot all about Gwazi.
^Don't worry. The ride is kinda forgettable without the air. Maybe they are adding air to Gwazi?? That would make the presence of the president of the Busch conservation fund and VP of zoological operations make sense. I know that if I were the president of the Busch conservation fund and VP of zoological operations I would want to be there when they announced air on Gwazi Tiger. ;)
I think get some MF's for Gwazi, I rather have them than a new coaster, because Gwazi in the front is good, and I think MF's could make it better.

Second I think the next area to be renovated should be Timbuktu because it seems to be a bit outdated, Scorpion could also use some new paint.

All I want is for the white tigers to return. Does anyone know if they were moved to other facilities or are being housed at the park behind the scenes?

If anyone was expecting a coaster, you will most likely be disappointed.

Can't wait for this new area to open.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

Expect Asian animals and theming.

Chi...not *certain* about the tigers, but IIRC we were told to expect their return to the park sooner rather than later. I'd be quite surprised if they were NOT coming back when the revamped Python area reopens.

Python was the first "dive" coaster at BGA....not even the preservationist in me was too bothered about its demise.

What do you mean by "dive," like it goes downard at some point during the ride?

It would be nice to see "Gwazi" finally get those M.F's it so desperately needs
I just got a news release here at work:

"Busch Gardens Tampa Bay to Announce New Attraction for 2008"

"Lush jungle villas features exotic animal habitats and rides in the park's most ambitious project to date"
"... Busch Gardens is creating it's newest adventure - an exotic jungle experience where discovery and exploration invite guests to connect with the world around them."

I guess we'll all know tomorrow morning. Best, Ross
(Note they still call themselves "Busch Gardens Tampa Bay")

All I know is that the ride will be named Jungala, however I have no details yet...

I suppose this explains the whole black/ white fur graphic on the web page:

Sounds like Jungala is the name of that "area" of the park not just a ride. In fact, it doesn't sound like there will be any "major" ride additions.

JUNGLES OF THE WORLD COME TOGETHER

No ride announcements yet, but don't forget SheiKra isn't that old and it's basically being marketed as a new coaster since the floorless trains were added. BGA is going to get some mileage out of that before they announce a new coaster.

Two signature rides add to the excitement of Jungala: a zip line experience offers three different flight patterns above the tree tops for young adventurers and another ride launches guests up above a towering waterfall.

Didn't S&S just put some waterfall drop ride on their website?

Don't know, but it sounds intriguing.

Hey, how come no zip lines for adults? That'd be something that gets my attention!

But what the heck does it do? Just go up and down between the fountains?
