BEST park....

BGW=They home make their food. The stuffed pasta at the Pieatza(spell check) and the home made cookie pizza available across from the Pirates 4-D I highly recomend. You get big portions of their food and it is edible. There is always toilet paper [my homepark,SFGreat Adventure has a shortage]in gigantic spotless restrooms.

Kennywood=It is a small park, but that is a nice change from the others{CP is sooo big).KW is unique because of the amount of antique rides ,and if you do not appreciate these then go to a Six Flags park.I had a lot of fun here. The(modern)flat rides are great. They are different from other park's.
And the french fries here are like no other.Just buy the fries from the stands that are strictly french fry only.
This is a park with a heart. -------------

The first coaster with a loop was wooden, I believe it was at Coney Island-I'm not certain.
It pulled 12 G's! this is because back then they tried to make the loops circular instead of eliptical or egg-shaped. The Air Force only require you to experince 11 G's before passing out.
i thought 10 g's kill you.

I havent been to many parks but when i went to Islands of Adventure, i was just blown away. The theming theres was fantastic and the food was great. The people there were really nice and beyond all that, the rides were spectacular.
PKI

Best History:
1.When Beast was built it broke EVERY wooden coaster record.
2. The Racer was one of the first, if not the first to have one train turned around backwards.
3.The Bat was the first Suspended Coaster in the world.
4.Vortex was first to include 6 loops.
5. Outer limits was first to include LIM's.
6.Drop Zone was the first Drop ride to break 300 feet.
7. Son of Beast breaks every wood coaster record except for the longest, which is still owned by the beast. First woodie with a loop.

Atmosphere:
Very Beautiful park with more than enough trees. Very clean and it is a just a very happy, friendly atmosphere.

Food:
Good food. Nothing to complain about. The best chili I have ever had.

Rides:
The best wood coaster's in the world. Now if they could only get a steel hyper/giga.....

The Employees are generally friendly and helpful.

They also have the worlds largest Waterpark located inside another park.

My top 5 parks:
PKI
CP
Kennywood
Busch Gardens Tampa
Holiday World
I have several favorites, but truly the best parks are:

1)Kennywood-Could these people makes you feel more at home?

2)Islands of Adventure-REAL theming! Enough said.

3)Knott's Berry Farm- I like the direction Cedar Fair is taking with this park. Nice theming, preserving the history of the park, quality wooden coaster, Perilous Plunge instead of some record breaking spotlight chaser, ect.

4)Cedar point-Suffers a bit because people insist on overhyping it instead of just letting it's quality shine through. Beautiful setting and some great rides.

5)Six Flags Magic Mountain-See Cedar Point above... *** This post was edited by Simcoaster on 8/12/2000. ***
The best park that I have ever been to is Cedar Point. The people there are the greatest of all the parks that I have ever been to. Prices on food weren't too bad when you consider how much you get for that price. It is home to some of the greatest coasters in the world and was the birthplace of several types of coasters. The atmosphere is nice with a DJ in the queue lines and fans that blow a cool mist on you while you are waiting in line. There are plenty of places to stay at on the park grounds that offer free shuttles to and from the park. From what I saw on my trip the park is very clean and was kept in good shape.

A few of the things that I didn't like were that the lines were a little long compared to what I am used to at Paramount's Kings Island, but you just have to deal with that sometimes. I also went just before schools in that area started up again so there were probably a lot of people there that were going one last time before their summer was over. The park is also a little hard to navigate if you've never been there before. Waiting for the train as you walk up and down the midways is a little annoying after awhile. I was a little disappointed because Soak City was a separate admission (I am used to the water park being included in General Admission at PKI). Also the Mean Streak. Sorry, but I didn't enjoy this ride a a bit. Blue Streak wasn't very good but better than Mean Streak. This leaves Cedar Point without a good wooden coaster, which I would have liked to have seen there.

Overall this park is excellent. I can't wait to go back.

PKI_is_the_best, you forgot that PKI also has the first stand-up roller coaster to turn it's riders upside down, the King Cobra.
