Best Looking Coasters

I was watching a video of LaRonde's Goliath Coaster and I think it was probably the best looking ride out there, in terms of paint. Any other coasters you think that look exceptionally good with their paint jobs?

Ps. Sorry for the offseason boredom.

IMO: Boulder Dash, The Voyage, Nemesis, S:ROS (SFNE)

Adios!

Personally I think Chang looks pretty sexy with the new paint.

I still think the single best looking coaster is Olympia Looping.

Dueling Dragons at the Loop fly-by. Not because of paint job but looks good tho.

Its sad when your best friend asks you the exact running time of a ride. Good thing I didnt know.

I've always been of the opinion that GASM at SFGADV is a stunning coaster to look at, especially with fresh paint.

I don't see why something like this would get 'killed'....we're just talking about paint jobs on roller coasters....I hope we can do that without biting each other's heads off!!

4. Unacceptable topics of discussion:
The Coasterbuzz forums are dedicated to foster the discussions of roller coasters and the amusement park industry. Sometimes topics are brought up that are not in anyway related this. These topics are deleted, because there are other places on the Internet to discuss these off-topic subjects. We don't talk about world peace or curing cancer here, we talk about coasters (unless of course the peace or cancer is related to coasters). If you choose to talk about something not related to the subject matter of the forums, there are plenty of other sites on the Internet that will satisfy your needs. Examples of other unacceptable topics are those that lack merit (a 700 foot tall coaster with 19 inversions is being built at…), topics that have been brought up numerous times in the past (Cedar Point is running out of room… Superman: the Escape is not a coaster…), constant speculation about what [your park here] is going to get next year, questions that have no real answers (what are crowds like at... what will that park build...) and threads that contain best... favorite... top 10... worst... versus... most... are simply not interesting to read by anyone other than the person who started the topic. Don’t be surprised if these get closed or deleted as well. If your topic has any word ending in "-est," think twice about posting it. We also dislike anything along the lines of "first post" or an announcement about the number of posts you've made. It's not the quantity, it's the quality that counts.

Certain victory.

I will add Hydra and Talon which are both nice looking coasters and fun to ride.
Haha I know the TOS, I have been here for quite some time. I just don't see this thread going in that direction is what I was saying. I guess I just pictured the thread as a positive thing because everyone was supporting the look of a particular ride that they may or may not even like at all. *** Edited 12/25/2007 7:04:03 PM UTC by cdrpointcrazy44***

I just loved the way Shockwave towered over everything when aproaching SFGAM, Gone but not forgotten and IMHO a much better ride than the overbraked SFADV model.
Kumba at Busch Gardens( or atleast when it was fully painted when I was last there almost 10 years ago) and Mean Streak yes Mean Streak for wooden. *** Edited 12/25/2007 7:14:11 PM UTC by GIGAFORCE01***

-Eric: Major Parks: SFNE(homepark), SFA,SFGADV,CP,BGE,BGA,Kennywood, and Sea World: Track record 65 different coasters ridden #1 is Millennium Force #2 is El Toro and than there are all the others

Man I hate it when people say smart comments like this.

Anyway for best looking coaster. That is a tough one to decide In my honest opionion. I know that Patriot at Worlds of Fun has an awesome paint scheme, for wooden coasters I would say Son of Beast before the removal of the loop. WildFire at Silver Dollar City has an very awesome backdrop on it making it very picturesque, it is kinda neat looking at Table Rock Lake Upside down in the Cobra Roll. Another that is real neat to look at is the Voyage at Holiday World with the track going off in the woods and back all through the Thanksgiving section of the park.

I know it is very hard to pick the best one out as they are alot of really neat coasters out there. *** Edited 12/25/2007 8:01:58 PM UTC by Sawblade5***

I would have to say Sea Dragon at Wyandott Lake.

Top 5, in no particular order: 1. MF 2. Maverick, 3. Kraken 3. El Toro, 4. TTD 5. Superman Krypton Coaster Top overrated coasters: 1. Incredible Hulk (Boooooring!) 2. Nitro 3. Expedition G-force 4. Goliath(SFMM) 5. Any Dive Coaster
Hey dont forget about S:KC at Fiesta Texas.

Beautiful setting for a coaster.

Im not biased or anything :) *** Edited 12/25/2007 11:26:39 PM UTC by Krypton***

I have one more to add to my list. It is Corkscrew at Cedar Point, You can't really imagine the midway without this bad boy.

My vote would have to be West Coaster at Pacific Park. I love how it visually dominates the pier, but at the same time is very intimate and human scale. And you get to go twice.

What is it about your "best looking coaster" that makes it that way? The color scheme? The background setting? The look of the track and structural supports?

For me, there's nothing like the symmetry and geometry of the structure of a classic woodie. Painted white, left natural-- doesn't matter to me.

Kumba got repainted in April 2006 and it looks good again.

Kraken just reopened yesterday with a fresh coat of paint. I've always said that it is the best looking B&M and has the most dynamic colors and looks amazing at night. Now this is even more true now that it has been restored to its original beauty. On a side note all the Florida B&M's have repainted over the last two years, ironically the B&M with the oldest and most faded paint, is the newest, SheiKra. ^_^
