Well, if we're all plugging our own shots, I have to nominate these of mine:

Heh, I think everyone gets the urge to take that photo when they walk under that cobra roll! Cool!

...and damn you, Vater - you're right! :)

Are there any other coasters with the same type of supports Silver Star uses for it's lift?

Man I can't believe no one's mentioned this one yet:

I'd buy a ticket to Spain just to ride that thing... **drool**

Here are three nice photos I took this year at BGW. Of course one includes the stereotypical shot of Nessie's interlocking loops.

I was just looking through some of my old stuff and found another Mantis shot http://members.accesstoledo.com/bwiatrak/mantismfBWD.jpg

Only thing I don't like about this one is that it is a little grainy. This was taken before I bought my digital camera.

I think Gemini's shot of MF at night is the clear winner - and I looked through all of them up to this point!

Although all pics posted up to this point are outstanding, I disagree that they are better than the Beast pic. But who is to say that any pic is "better" than any other pic anyway? I just, and always have, liked the Beast pic best.

These are nice pics non-the-less.

But seriously folks, I respect the opinions of yall who don't like the thing, but if MF were human, I'd marry it.

DROOL :)

Do not be afraid of death, be afraid of your unridden coasters.

I haven't looked at these in a while but I posted some aerial shots of Son of Beast from my old website.

Also, I have some coaster phots from my Europe trip at pbase.com that include some shot like this. Not the best pics mind you but since everyone is sharing, I thought I would do the same.

Hey Sean,

I hafta ask how does Collossos compare to SoB? Great pic too!

Everyone seems to say that Colossus is everything SOB isn't: Smooth, airtime filled, dream trains, etc. The only thing it doesn't have is a loop....but you can get the same thing on countless steel coasters. ;)

Well IMO SoB is smooth, and I have gotten air on it aswell.....can't say much about the "dream trains." :/ Guess I'll hafta experience Colossos for myself. (anyone willing to pay my air fair?)

On it's smoothest day SOB isn't a fraction of how smooth colossus is. :( (Many complain it doesn't even feel like a woodie it's so smooth.) While there may be a fraction of a second of air on SOB, it doesn't have the long, sustained air on every hill that colossus has.

Oh if only Intamin had built SOB (and real trains for it!)....

What is the "Beast Picture"? I have no idea what this refering to.

It all depends on your opinion. Personally, as a photographer i enjoy those blurry images of WT better than a static snapshot; but that's just my aesthetic opinion.

Because this is a site about rollercoasters, and not aesthetics, I'd have to agree that the shot of Goliath is sweet, mainly because it shows the entire layout of the ride.

The Beast picture is probably the most retaken photo of any coaster..... IMO nothing beats it.
