I'm with DJMFORCE, no doubt Cedar Point.

What's life if you never get to the Point?

I'm a big CP fan, and it does have some great atmosphere in places (perhaps it's my attachment to the park). But for best overall atmosphere i have to go with Kennywood. All you out the on the west coast voting for Disney are missing out on a great classic park. I would be happy if i got to spend the entire day just walking around.
Dollywood and BGW both have great atmosphere. Dollywood in October, when the leaves are changing, is a real treat. The whole place smells like fall. I love it!
WOW! I can't believe no one's mentioned
Disney's Animal Kingdom!!!!
I agree with CP. Animal Kingdom's best attribute is it's aura (unless, of course, it's a hot day in August). Pretty fair to say, I think, that Disney has the best atmosphere with all their parks - although, Universal made a huge statement with IOA.
As for good, hometown, amusement atmosphere, Kennywood wins.
Not that you lot would know, but Alton Towers has to be one of the most beutiful parks in the world. I was a bit disappointed with IOA - I thought it was too in your face and cramped. Nowhere (obviously) to walk except through each island. Apart from Jurassic Park, there was very little in the way of trees etc. - more like a block of concrete with truly excellent rides.
On a sunny day, it has to be CP! I think that is the best park, hands down!
