I've been at the control panel of a coaster when the power went out. However we did a walk down right away, so the people were only stuck for 15 mins.
I've also done several walkdowns. As well as witnessed the computer "lose" a train that was stuck on the lift. So when the computer was restarted and we tried to get it going it wouldn't. Someone thought it would be a great idea to try and dispatch the train in the station so we had 2 trains on the lift at the same time. Luckly a sensor cought it, and maintance came up and started the upper lift wheels first.
No, the enterpise accident was in the very early 1980's and was not the Giant Enterprise at PKI. PKI did not install theirs until the mid 1980's.

I remember the day I was visiting SFNE during the beginning of August and the local news channel near SFNE was reporting on the "terrible accident" of Titan, yes Titan, all the way from Texas. I watched as all the peeps who worked in the little resturant I was at crowd around the TV and be amazed. Half the people in the place thought it was SROS across the street! Oh well.

I got to walk off of Matterhorn at Disneyland. I was a little dissapointed that this happened at the top of the final drop down the waterfall. A couple sleds later and I would have walked through the middle of the mountain...
But it was cool, I got to walk across the station track, and got a pass to come back later (which I didn't use and still have)

I was involved in an accident. On the Matterhorn many years ago. A ride-op was trying to add a train but she released the train before the transfer track had lined up and ended up deailing the train. All the trains behind began stacking but for some reason the computer had not detected this cascading event and did not e-stop all the trains running until AFTER the one I was in had past the last block break already. This was on the West side (the one with the tunnel at the end) so it was quite a surprise to when we came through the tunnel only to see a train already occupying the first brake section (the last remaining hold spot). It was also quite a surprise to the ride-op who was attending to the riders in that train as well. We came through the tunnel and just smashed right into it. It wasn't really a big deal...no more force then what you'd get on a bumper car ride (and probably less than what you'd get on Autopia with some people I know!), but the ride-op was still freaked asking everyone if they were okay. I was afraid that another train would then smack us but at that point everything stopped and we all were walked out from that point. I was a little bummed because I would have liked to have been walked out of the ride from inside the mountain. But I guess the experience of ramming into the train in front is even less common and more special. I'd still like to experience a walkout on a ride someday though, especially a Disney dark ride or enclosed coaster!

Getting stuck on a coaster is not an accident. People get hurt in accidents.
I hear about car accidents all the time where people don't get hurt at all. But they are still referred to as "accidents." Just a term, really, and I agree that getting stuck on a coaster isn't a big deal.

LMAO that I know *exactly* who you're talking about! Autopia is one of my favorite Disney rides if you know who to ride with! :)

Besides getting stuck (e-stop) on numerous coasters, the only thing that has ever happened to me is the mid-course failed while I was on Hydra-Fighter 2.

Getting stuck on a coaster is equivalent to having your car break down. If it is brief due to stacking it is stopping at a red light. If it is due to a sensor failure, it is being stuck at a broken red light. It is not an accidnet such as hitting another car.
