That's why he gets paid the big bucks.

Oh. Then I would have done Diamondback and Beast. I wonder if you will have a Banshee ERT next year.

Don suggested to me that next year the event becomes BansheeBuzz. So I'd say there's a pretty good chance.

And a BIG special shout out to my pals, old and new, who really made my day. Jeph With a ph, Rubbed the Wrong Way Adam, It's Vegas Baby Josh, Wanna Get Married Eric&Scott, and the Gonch Family Singers. And everyone else who shared a chat or a laugh with us on the magical skip-adee-doodah day. Turns out I had a blast.

My family simply adored you, man.

Aw, thanks. And I liked them, too. They seem to be able to handle total inappropriateness very well, without batting an eye, even.
You know, they say the best lessons are learned at home! Good job!

And may I say Gonch handled the position of "Charles in Charge" with aplomb. He and his family graciously waited until the last diehards were done with their Beast rides, and he made sure we all got out to the parking lot and on our way.

I'm the hostess with the mostess.

I appreciate this too. As corny as it sounds, I did try to make sure everyone had a good time...and I think we all did.

I will pass that on to the wife. I'm sure she'll get a kick out of it. If there's one thing we are - it's generally inappropriate.

(See what I did there? It's a play on nirvana...no? Meh.)

And if you're in that photo, feel free to head on over and tag yourself.

Don really hooked us up with the impromptu Diamondback ERT. When the fireworks were over and we had made our way over to the Beast, the queue next to the ramp was completely full and the queue before it was about half-full. The sign said 90 minutes, and it was believable if the station queue had been full too. Since the ride doesn't get rolling again until around 10:15, we were a little worried that we may only get 15 - 20 minutes on it, so the girl that was handling it gave Don a call and he gave the ok to reopen Diamondback for us. Then when that was over at 11, we went back to the Beast and saw that it's queue was empty and waiting for us. So really, they didn't have to run Diamondback; we would've had plenty of time on the Beast. They really went the extra mile and I couldn't have been more grateful.

And it was nice to meet you, Gonch. You're much less threatening in person. ;)

And I'll assume "much less threatening" is just code for "much more handsome and charming."

I believe Don said that the enthusiast groups will be invited to Banshee media day.

Ohboyohboyohboyohboy!

Yeah, it sure sounded like the current plan was to take what CP did with GateKeeper's media day and expand/improve on it for Banshee's media day - and that included the open invite to card-holding club members.

It was good to meet a few of you guys on here yesterday. Lord Gonchar, Did I meet you yesterday? I don't know if I did or not. For those who told me their screen names on here yesterday, could you tell me again? I have to memorize faces, names, and screen names better so I can remember more people as I meet them.

Even though I rolled in super late in the day, I had an amazing time. Meeting Jeph and MAC was really awesome, and finding the $3.50 drafts in the Red's grille was a huge bonus.

Sure, Shawn Meyer. My screen name is RCMAC.

Shawn, I sat behind you in the show. :)

Probably not. I never really used Pat at all. If you had met me, you'd have met me as Gonch.

I remember you now. You sat with Adam.

Hey! I was there, too, right on the aisle. I was the one with the cutest tail.

Raven-Phile's avatar

Yeah, that tail was pretty cute, I gotta admit. I don't think I could have pulled it off.

Lord Gonchar's avatar

Everyone was admiring your tail...whether they admit it or not.

Yeah I did a pretty piss-poor job of getting names. I chatted up a few people during the Diamondback and Beast ERT. My wife and I were with a few guys talking to the girl by the Beast entrance about what our options were. The topic turned to someone's love of Arrow suspended coasters.

We also spoke with a couple of gay gentlemen before starting Diamondback ERT. They were saying how they talked the girl into re-opening the ride for us.

Finally, a guy behind us on the Beast was busting the ride op for his Banshee spiel.

So, identify yourselves!

I'm Chris Baker, by the way, and my wife's name is Amy. Nice to meet you!
