BeastBuzz 2006 Update

BeastBuzz 2006 at Paramount's Kings Island is Saturday, June 17, 2006. Today we established some details, and I hope to get the flyer out soon...

ERT:
In the a.m., we've got Avatar, the new Zamperla Disk-O coaster model, and the usual spins on The Beast, before the park open. In the evening, ERT on Drop Zone, Delirium, Flight of Fear and The Beast.

Tours:
Back into the woods to see The Beast and Son of Beast in action.

Return of the scavenger hunt:
Brutal as always, I'm sure. Not sure what the prizes will be, but season passes have been the winners' reward the past two years.

For those that haven't done it before and might be considering going, you won't regret it. You haven't lived until you've done the very late night ride on The Beast.

I went last year and really enjoyed it.

Is there going to be a lunch this year?

I couldn't imagine there not being food.

Of course there will be food.

Hopefully the SOB tour will make up for the lack of FOF tour. FOF tour is probably the best one of all.

You and PKI just made my day. I love Disko's, they are a blast! And evening ERT is back to the way it was the best (IMO). This is great news. My wife is committed to being her sisters childbirth coach, and she just said she really hopes the baby can delay his arrival.

I actually went two years ago, but not as a member of cb. It was my first time at kings island. I wished back then i was a member, and wont miss it this year(i hope) because i cant miss riding the beast with other people that appreciate it. I want to experience it with buzzers this year, because this event always seems to draw em in. Thanks for the info.

So, how late is the nightime ERT for The Beast usually?

We've generally gotten out of there at 1 a.m. the last few years.

I guess I should drag my behind to King's Island this year to check out this "beast at night" business.

I wish I could make it, but I'll have to work on Saturdays.

How exactly does the night ERT work again? My understanfing is that you go to one coaster for about 30 minutes, then the next for about 30 minutes, etc... Am I wrong?

Yes, it's roaming group ERT. Gets more variety on more rides that generally have longer lines. As is the case with previous years, we picked rides that just suck to wait for (Drop Zone is really bad if it's sunny).

I've NEVER seen a Drop Zone line that didn't suck, and I go to PKI 20+ times a season.
